Thanksgiving + A Week In The Life of Zoe (Photo Overload)
This year Thanksgiving was fan-friggin-tastic!
We celebrated on saturday since that was the day we all agreed on due to everyone’s busy schedules. C and I hosted it this year since we just bought our first home and some of my sisters still have not seen it. My sisters and I always make a spreadsheet in October of who’s making what since we always make it potluck. So this was also going to be the first time I cook a turkey. We bought a 21 lb butterball and I gotta say, I have touched that dead thing way too much. I knew it’s likes and dislikes. His hobbies. His favorite color…
So much to be thankful for this year. SO much.

She woke up mad early this morning.
On Thanksgiving we went over to Jin + Angie’s to celebrate. Before we headed over there Zoe got a bath…
…and a nap.
Debra + Angie made all the food themselves.

The hubs and were eating dinner so we put Zoe in her jumperoo. Her back was to us and after a while she was just really quiet so we went to check on her.
I cannot believe how much a baby moves while sleeping. She was right side up when we put her down.

hehe, Zoe’s so cute! Sigh…I wish we had recessed lighting in our house like yours. I keep bugging B to get it done, but we both know that it’s not really worth it in our current home. On our next house, I’m going to demand it!!! Is there room for all three of you on the bed?
@so_droll80 - omigod. you dont’ want it. our electricity bill is so high cause of it. we just spent over 150 replacing the bulbs with energy efficient bulbs. there’s PLENTY of room for 3 although it doesn’t feel like it at times cause of Hog.
so what are you talking about on your page. i didn’t understand. are you leaving for cali? are you moving there?
@PetiteMandoo - since i’m originally from CA, we’re going to visit my parents for about 4 weeks. moving there? I feel like it’s not likely. :T Oh well. Yikes! I forget that recessed lighting is expensive!! At least it looks nice!
zoe’s so calm in those videos!! is she always like that?? jacob would’ve rolled over on the bed and tried to get away in a heartbeat! and in the tub, he’s always leaning forward, trying to slap the water and grab his toys…maybe it’s just a boy thing…
i love the pic of her sleeping in her jumperoo…when jacob did that, i was so tempted to leave him there because it looked so cute, but i knew his neck would be uncomfortable, so i took him out after i took a picture, of course!
wow, two turkey dinners! looks like you guys had a very full first thanksgiving w/zoe. haha, i love the sleeping pics. i still find it amazing how babies can sleep in those contorted positions. i would have some major neck cramp if i was like that for just 5 min!
the food looks fabulous! i checked out the book “there were 10 in the bed” today, and right away knew how they came up with this song. some days when M is in our bed, i wonder how she doesn’t manage to get a concussion when she’s in her own crib. zoe in the jumperoo…hehehe
wow, everything looks good and i love the serving dishes….desperately looking for some new ones…………….Zoey is just way too cute and your nieces and nephews have just as unique names as Zoey……..What a great day it seemed……….And wow, what a man washing baby poop off……….you did good girl!…………

I can’t believe Zoe fell asleep in her jumper! LOL…Matthew is such a light sleeper he would never fall asleep like that.

That spread looks awesome! I can’t believe you manhandled a 21 lb. Turkey, did you have to take the gizzards out?? Ew, I totally made my husband be in charge of the Turkey, I just can’t, I’m a wuss!

The food looked awesome! I love the rectangle dishes, now I want to throw all my new dishes out and get those. Stupid round dishes. Zoe must think the camera is like the 4th person in your family, huh? There for all the good times and the butt washings and what not.
@wifeylifey - thanks! the square bowls are from cb2. i had some oval in the far end of the table.
zoe thinks the camera is like part of my face. kinda like an eyepatch.

@PetiteMandoo - yea… these and what other lenses u might be using… your photos always come out great
@zx6karen - aww thanks what a compliment cause i don’t use any special lenses! hahaha….seriously. i just use the kit lens that came with my slr and these photos in this post i took with my new point and shoot canon. that’s it.

@PetiteMandoo - i go out and get a kick a$$ lens and flash and my picts come out looking like sh*t and you use your kit lens??? WTF am i doing wrong?
