Ok so I know a lot of you are also planning your baby’s first birthdays so I’ll share this one early.

Here’s the link to making your own cupcake stand. Everything you need you can probably get on Amazon. Also instead of decorative paper you could also use really pretty gift wrapping paper. Also I didn’t have enough time to order cake dummies and hotglued styrofoam discs together that I got at Michaels. And I didn’t want to wrap the pillars in between with ribbon like the instructions say to do so I just picked paper that I though would match well with the floral print paper. Oh and another thing I did was I bought one large styrofoam disc and hotglued it to the bottom to give the stand a lil height and some space  from the table. I’m gonna put one more small tier big enough for one cupcake on top.

NOTE: I forgot to mention that the cake boards are thin so I hot glued 3-4 of them together so that it would be sturdier.

Fisher Price: Precious Planet Nap Buddy

Zoe loves this. I put it on her and I start making monkey and cat noises and rubbing the heads on her cheeks in front of the mirror and she just starts smiling and tilting her head to give them a neck hug. I love it cause it works. We got ours at BuyBuyBaby but here’s a list of stores that should carry it. I’ve also seen an elephant + cheetah head neck pillow as well. Please don’t ask me to make the animal noises for you…cause you know I’ll do it.
  
Think Baby Conversion Kit

This is ok. My husband complains that the nipple collapses but I don’t think it’s a big deal. It is annoying though. The reason I like this is because I gave her a sippy cup first and she had no idea how to use it. I’d put it in her mouth and then she would just look at me like ‘What the hell is this piece of shit?” and then she’d just swat it away. Then I put on the conversion kit on her Think Baby bottles and she started drinking her formula from that. When I gave her the sippy cup again a few days later it worked and she was sipping away like a pro. So we use the conversion kit for her formula feedings only. We bought this at BuyBuyBaby but you can buy it here.

BabyBjorn Plate w/ Spoons
I like this. It’s designed in a way where if you child were to self feed it’s easy for them to spoon the food and also hard for them to pick up the plate because of the way it’s curved. The reason I just ‘like’ it is because it is a cute design but my lil mischievous genus drags the plate towards her and then once it’s at the edge of the table she lifts it up and then proceeds to throw it. Then she looks at it lying on the floor with all her food, then makes eye contact with me as if to say “you pick it up bitch” and then continues to watch tv as she sucks on her empty spoon. I swear sometimes I wanna get that spoon and shove it up her ass. ZOE YOU JERK! I think this would work if you had a highchair with a tray maybe. Sometimes when she’s playing I put some cheerios on the plate and set it on the floor….
..I gotta tell you, I feel like I have a pet at times like these.

BabyBjorn Soft Bib
I love this bib! I swear some people come up with some genius ideas about something so simple. It catches everything. And especially now when she doesn’t want that last bite and pushes everything out with her tongue. It’s awsome.

Playtex Spill-Proof Sippy Cup
I love this sippy cup! It really is spill proof. We also got the Nuby one which has a lid (bonus) but I don’t like it as much as the Playtex one. This was rated the best sippy cup by mothers in Cookie Magazine.


Stokke Tripp Trapp Chair

Ok, So I know that a lot of you have been asking me about the Tripp Trapp chair by Stokke. It”s gotten rave reviews from mothers online. Consumer Report ranked it pretty low. I mean it was WAY at the bottom of the list. Plus it’s expensive. I like it because the design is nice, it blends in well with our dining room set, and it’s easy to clean. We didn’t get the rail and cushion yet so we’ve been using it without those two items.  I wanted to give a review after we got those two items but I’ll just give my two cents now.  It’s nice. It’s not great. Zoe likes it. I wish I could say that I love it but I don’t. I think it just serves it’s purpose as a place to put Zoe when it’s time for feedings but I’m not wowed. I think with that money it should be able to transform into Optimus Prime or Broby from Yo Gabba Gabba. That’d be suh-weet. I’d make Broby my babysitter. I went home to my mother’s house over the weekend and my sister let me use her Peg Perego highchair. I think having a tray is kind of a bonus on regular highchairs. You just dump all their food on the tray.
I also heard you should save your money on the table set. That got really bad reviews from mothers. I’ll let you guys know what I think once we get the rail and cushion. Maybe I’ll love it then? Who knows.

I need more empty Similac bottles if anyone has any?

Hi everyone. Thanks for all the advice. I’m still gonna go with the Similac bottle idea. I don’t want to paint the bottle and mask that it’s a Similac bottle. I want people to see it and get it. And I like the foil on the edge. So I doing!!!! SHUT UP!!! Hahaha…

Anyways, I leave you with some recent photos of my daredevil WHO btw fell off the couch yesterday and lodged her face under her toy and her body over it. There was blood. AGAIN! *sigh* She bit her tongue pretty hard. WHEN IS THIS MADNESS GOING TO END!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I fuckin hate this. I just want to roll her in bubble wrap. Omigod. I’m always coming up with new projects and I still haven’t finished one since my last update. CRUNCH TIME!

Since Zoe’s birthday is coming up it’s also a celebration that she is no longer going to be drinking formula! So for our center pieces I was thinking about doing 3 of these at each table. I don’t know. I think they’re cute and personal.
