Update on Sesame Place
So let me give you an update on Sesame Place. Actually let me just sum it up in pictures for you.
So we got there at 12:45. Here’s a photo of us going in…
…and then…
..here is us leaving. I think we were there less than an hour? We didn’t even make it halfway in. Stop laughing. We went in and there were just SOOOOOOOOOOO many people! And it was SOOOOOOOOOOO hot! I actually said outloud “Omigod. This is the stuff that we’re gonna have to deal with from now on.” And we just felt sooo overwhelmed and the heat wasn’t helping. These 2 photos I took while the hubs was waiting in line. She kept screeching “Elmo Elmo!” And she kept going up to kids just sitting on the curb and as she’s walking by them she’ll stop, bend her head towards theirs and goes “hi!”
We decided first thing was to get Zoe something to eat. We got in line for food. I’m pretty sure the ac was working but because there was so many people you couldn’t really tell. After waiting a minute in line the hubs goes “I’m about to say f**k this.” So I said “If you say f**k this now then you have to promise we’ll come back during the week.” Deal. We got the HELL outta there and headed to Burger King. They had an awsome playland but Zoe was too little to go through so I went in there with her. She was really hesitant because it was dark inside (kinda like Chucky’s Cheese Factory) but once we went down the slide she wanted to go back up again. She loved the slide!
Afterwards we headed to mother’s house and stayed there for the rest of the weekend. Owen and Zoe kept fighting over little things like who got to play with the yellow dump truck or who got to play with the blue ball. They never really fought before which to me means Zoe is changing. She’s growing up.

Haha that’s hilarious that you guys only stayed there less than an hour! Yay Burger King with the rescue!
aww! im telling you it’s a mad house in there! hopefully your second return will be much better… i plan on never going back!!!
Hmm I guess Sesame Place isn’t what it used to be. I still remember my parents taking me there when I was little.
Dude…I was thinking madhouse for you. I’m going to take a day off sometime in August during the week to take J…avoiding all summer weekends if possible…we even postponed the bronx zoo till a weekday in Sept!
It was crazy at the Sesame Place last Saturday. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that many strollers in one place. Since we drove three hours to get there, we didn’t have the luxury to turn around and go back home. I think we were thinking the exact same thing as you guys… I was hoping to see you guys there but once we got there, we knew we would never find anyone… ;op
I’m glad Zoe has fun at the Burger King place ground. I guess you didn’t have to spend $100+ dollars for that one… ;o)
aww, poor baby looked hot
she probably didn’t even know the diff. between the two places
i LOVE the 2nd slide picture!!! you guys both look soo cute
seriously, i bet zoe didn’t even know the difference … the flowers are purty~
that’s probably how hot it was in FLorida when we went
lol..you guys are like us…we’ve done that as well…..girl, zoey was already sweating….lol……sometimes, the simplier things are more fun for the kids……thank God, Zoey didn’t have a fit leaving…your mom’s place is beautiful and great shot of the flowers……..so pretty and birght……..another note, that means you guys are also getting older if you opted to leave early as well……….you husband looks and sitting in the shade seems more fun………….the things we do for our kids………
we just went there yesterday! it was VERY crowded even though it was tuesday. we went it at 3:00 and came out at 7:00. we didn’t expect the place to be so crowded since it was tuesday but it was ok. haeun LOVED the place. hopefully it won’t be that bad when you go back!!!
i remember going to sesame place once when i was younger and it was HOT and OVERCROWDED. you’re smart to have left instead of wasting your time. i’m sure weekday is less crowded.
btw, great pics as usual! the flowers came out really nice. and i LOVe the slide pics…its like happy to uber happy
@so_droll80 - serious… I was just thinking the same thing.
Susan… it’s also a water park… I went in late Aug one year… it was too cold for the water. maybe we can join you next time!
At her age, she may have had just as much fun at the Burger King playland! She is ADORABLE, by the way!
shiet…should i even bother taking the lil booger? i wonder how it will be on a friday…
We took Elisa once to SS and never went back. Elisa played in the pool area and it was freezing cold. You’d think with all those kids in the swim diapers, it’d be a little warmer… I guess the kids were too happy to pee. And, the line for food was suuuper long. We stayed for less than 2 hours.
I want to go back but hubby refuses to go. I think he was traumatized.
