I swear, I think she’s really their #1 fan. It has now been 2 months and it’s still her favorite.

Funny things Zoe says:
:: She chucked her toy on the floor and I said “Zoe what are you doing?” She goes “I just, I just doing.”
:: I bought her this book set last week and after I purchased we started walking to the entrance Zoe goes “Thanks for helping me Umma.”
:: When we got out to the street I picked her up and said “Zoe I’m picking you up cause it’s dangerous in the parking lot. She grabs my face between her hands and said “Don’t worry Umma.”
:: I was changing her diaper and after I was done I was trying to tickle her and she wagged her finger at me and said “Umma no, no, no.” I said “Umma no, no, no?” She said “I’m serious.” (learned this from Toy Story)
:: “I’m dead! I’m dead!” (from The Incredibles)

Genius Table Design
I’m trying to archive a bunch of old photos and then I came upon these:

These were taken at Riverside Mall inside of the Baby Cottons store. Zoe was about 14 months. I took these because I made her sit at their activity table and realized how genius the design was. Because the table was cut out to push the seat in I didn’t have to worry about her losing her balance and falling off sideways. Genius. Plus she looked really cute playing with their blocks. She was in her happyzone. -
Recipe: Miso Soup
So as I was telling someone today Zoe is a soup and rice girl otherwise known as gook and bahp. We have now thrown kimchi (washed) into the mix and girlfriend pops them in her mouth like candy. I have to yell at her to eat it with the rice and soup a lot of times. One of her favorite soups is miso soup so I thought I’d post how I make ours.
What you’ll need:
This is my favorite brand of miso for this particular soup. I got it at the local Japanese grocery store.
First you have to make the dashi broth. I put the dashi in this strainer so I don’t have to fish them all out later.
Just hang it inside the pot with the lid shut and bring the water to a full boil. While you’re waiting to bring it to a boil you can chop up your tofo into nice small cubes and dice up your scallions (Most people just use the green part but I just don’t want to waste it so I just dice up the whole thing). Once it starts boiling you can add the tofu in and then bring it to a simmer. You can take out the strainer now (I keep it in till the end). Scoop out some of the broth and mix it into the bowl of miso paste. Mix it so it’s all diluted and then transfer it all back into the pot. Simmer it for a few more minutes and then shut off the heat and add the scallions. Give it a final mix before serving.
Note: Once you’ve added the miso to the pot do not boil or this will change the flavor of the soup.

Happy Birthday Ya Old Fart!
I know. I say the most romantic things at times.
To “my” dearest DJ Dad Rock (mah world),
Happy birthday babe. Zoe and I love you so much.
Hope we made it special for you!

I don’t know if it was from the sugar in the cake but Zoe was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo hyper afterwards. As in she would not shut up and she could not sit still. It was just non stop “yapyapyapyapyapyapyap”.
I was actually really amused by it. -
Nose Bleed + The DJ Lance Hat
*le sigh*
I have been busy this week. I’m painting the “man room” and getting it all ready for the hubby’s birthday poker night this weekend. So I have been painting, framing posters, and hanging up pendant lamps. I shall hang before and afters when I’m done.
:: 02.17.10 ::
Yesterday I went to get Zoe after she woke up from her nap. I hid at the end of the crib to surprise her but she ended up surprising me. “OMIGOD WHAT HAPPENED ZOE?!” Her response, “Umma! Paint! I painting!” Her nose bled either during or after her nap and she decided to play with it. I asked her what it was. She said “paint.”

The hubs ordered Zoe the DJ Lance hat on Woot for Miss Zoe. It came yesterday. I actually had to leave the house at 8:30 so I didn’t get a chance to see them play with it but apparently she never even got a chance to wear it because she was so busy fighting with her dad and letting him know that it was hers or as she would say “mine”. So after she went to bed we had a lil bit of fun with it.

We were so meant to be together. Zoe don’t know how lucky she is to have us parents. -
Figurines
Update: I just took a photo of her sleeping w/ Mr Incredible + Dash. Scroll down.
Zoe’s words/phrases: (I can’t keep track anymore. She’s a parrot.)
Last night while I was doing the dishes, Zoe fell off of her highchair while coloring at the dining room table. I went over to see her cause she was bawling and I saw some blood around her mouth. She had bitten the inside of her left cheek and looked like she had a little cut on her lip. Nothing too bad, I mean it could have been a lot worse. However blood freaks any mother out. Her cheek also looked a little red. So when it was time for bed time I wanted to put some vaseline on her cheek cause it was also lookin’ a little chafed. I was sitting on the bed and Zoe was lying down in front of me. The hubs was in the bathroom so I asked him to get it for me. This is how the conversation went down…
Me: Hun can you give me the vaseline? It’s in the cabinet.
Hubs: Sure.
Me: It’s on the top shelf.
Zoe: Top shelf.
The hubs is opening the right cabinet door.
Me: No not the right one, the left one.
Zoe: The ref one.
The hubs opens the left cabinet door but is looking only on the right side.
Me: No left. On the top.
Zoe: On the top.
Me: The top hun, top!
Zoe: Top hun top.
Me: Do you have to copy me?
Zoe: Yes.
This morning she woke up and was reaching for the tub of vaseline on my bedside table.
Me: No Zoe. Don’t touch. It’s mommy’s.
Zoe: Can I have some? Umma can I have some?
Me: You want some?
Zoe: Yes.
Me: Where are you gonna put it.
Zoe: My rips.
:: 02.05.10 :: Figurines
Lately Zoe and I have been into collecting figurines. She likes them a lot. Her favorite is Mr Incredible (shocking).
Here’s a video of her playing with Dash + Mr Incredible:
Right this very second she’s sleeping with them.
Last week I won this on Ebay. I showed her and told her that I won and she said “Yay! I win I win.”
