I have been SOOOOOOO busy lately. Man. So much has been happening in my life. All good though. Zoe had her birthday party this past weekend, she started daycare today, I start a new job next monday, and I have other news to share but that won’t be till much later.
:: 03.13.10 :: Zoe’s 2nd Birthday Party
So this past saturday we threw Zoe a birthday party. The theme? The Incredibles. She picked it. I don’t really have any photos since I was so busy that day. Here’s one my sister took with my camera of Zoe in front of her cake with her Incredibles t-shirt on. Justin’s dad took more so as soon I get them I shall post.
And here’s one where she’s holding her cousin. The hubs was holding Kayla and Zoe really wanted to hold her and kept following her dad around and begging him.
:: 03.15.10 :: First Day of School
She asked me if she could wear her Incredibles t-shirt. If you notice in the photo below she has her princess lunchbox in one hand and in the other she is holding her Mr Incredible and Dash figurines.

Hardships and Video: Toe Inspection Time….AGAIN!
You know last week was hell for me. Zoe was sick and all but it wasn’t because she was sick that was so hard for me. It was like every little thing that didn’t go her way she’d have a meltdown to express how displeased she is with the situation. Like for example, she has this purse that looks like Hello Kitty’s head. She knows how to open zippers but this one morning she just didn’t really try and the second she couldn’t open it…”WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I can’t do it, I can’t do it!!!!! Wahhhhhhhhhhh!” and then she’d lie down on the floor, face first, and bury her face in her arms as she sobbed away.
All she had to do was ask.
Last thursday I asked her to clean up her food toys.
She said “no.”
I said “then pick it up.”
She said “no.”
I said “then time out.”
She said “no time out.”
I said “then pick it up.”
She said “no.”
I said “that’s it you’re going to time out.”
I put her in her time out and she bawled the entire time. I said “you wanna help pick up the toys then?” She said “you do it.” I said “FINE THEN STAY IN TIME OUT!” She kept crying. When her time out was up I lectured her about why I put her in time out and she was still hyperventilating. I said “ok now help me pick up the toys” and i put a plastic strawberry in her hand so she can put it in the basket. Girl chucked it on the floor on purpose.
I said say you’re sorry. She refused. I gave her another chance. She refused. I put her ass in another time out and she lost it. After it was up I was telling her why I put her in another time out. Girl had stuff coming out of ever orifice on her face. I mean the boogies were bad cause she also had a cold. I cleaned her up while she still hyperventilated. I just looked at her and thought maybe I was being too hard again. So I said “do you want a hug?” She hyperventilated an answer back, “yUHes.” I gave her a big hug and she buried her face into my shoulder to cry some more. I was caressing her back and I said “Zoe, mommy’s sorry if she’s too hard on you.” I heard her litter voice hyperventilate back “iUHm sorry uUHmma.” Like if something does not go her way or goes smoothly it’s like the end of the world and she’s like sooooo devastated. I guess this is what you get when you ask for a girl. Man…disciplining a 2 year old is hard. I think her terrible 2′s have started and I think ISH GONNA BE A RONG EAR!
This week was not as bad. She’s huge on helping me. When we go shopping she likes pushing the cart and dumping stuff in and then putting stuff on the conveyor belt when it’s time to pay. Sometimes when she’s not pushing she’ll lead the way and run in front of the cart and turn around and say “C’mon, follow me umma!” as if she knew what aisle the eggs were at. When I do laundry she likes putting clothes in the machine and pushing the button for me. When I bring groceries home she likes putting all the plastic bags into the drawer. She’s such a mommy’s helper. And the whole time she’s helping me with anything she keeps yelling out “I’m helping mommy!” -

[ I FINALLY GOT THE VIDEO TO WORK ]
I never knew that Sophia Dahl was Roald Dahl’s grandaughter.
On monday Zoe and I went to BabyGap just to look around and she saw this Tinkerbell t-shirt for a 5yr old. I showed her the Hello Kitty, Minnie Mouse, and Princess t-shirts that they had in her size but she refused and HAD to have this one t-shirt. When I wasn’t looking she went around the counter to the cashier and gave it to her to hold for her. *le sigh* She knows that once you give something to the cashier and after they give it back to you it’s yours or how she likes to say “MINE!” with a chest slap. I washed it the next morning and by the time I put her down for her nap she had it on. I was holding her while standing next to her crib…
Me: I like your shirt.
Zoe: Zoe’s Tinkerbell shirt. (smiling because she’s wearing her new shirt)
Me: Oh yeah? Who bought it for you?
Zoe: Umma bought for me.
Me: Why did Umma buy it for you?
Zoe: My shirt.
Me: I know, but why did Umma buy it for you?
Zoe: Cause Umma loves Zoe.
Monday evening when I was getting her undressed for her bath she was holding onto my shoulders while I took off her pants. She started to examine my necklace that the hubs bought for me for Christmas and she said “Ahpah love Umma.”
Zoe and I found this awsome site off of Daily Candy called KneeBouncers. Zoe loves it. It’s free site where toddlers can play games pushing any key on the keyboard. Here’s a video of us playing with it monday morning. -
Update
Hola Senoritas….and some Senors(sp?).
Sorry I’ve been mia. I’ve been really busy and have had a lot on my mind. Trying to get a job, fixing/cleaning up the house, getting ready for Zoe’s 2nd birthday, and just..well organizing my life. Plus Zoe’s been sick this whole week. She started off with a fever on sunday and monday. By tuesday the fever was gone but the runny nose kicked and she also started to cough (which I thought she was faking). By wednesday her nose was like the white water rapids and her cough sounded horrible (the kind that sounds like it may hurt your throat). This morning she woke up, drank her milk, and continued to try to drink it while she went into a coughing fit for about a minute. Poor thing. I had to yank that bottle out cause she was just making it worse. She was definitely a lot better towards the end of the day. Hopefully it’ll all be over soon. The most annoying thing about her being sick (besides the constant whining, and the overdramatizing, and the ever steady runny nose) is her waking up in the middle of the night. And it’s like for the MOST RANDOM SHIT! So last night was the first time she slept straight through the night this whole week. Monday night she woke up at like 2am crying because “Umma princess toy? Where is my princess toy? Wahhhhh….Wahhhh…” Oh. My. Gah. So I got up, marched downstairs and got her her friggin Snow White miniature toy. When I crawled back into bed… “Milk? Milk? Wahhhhh Wahhhhh!” *sigh* So I went back down and got her a bottle. Tuesday night was THE WORST. She woke up at 1…”Wahhh where is my Hello Kitty watch? Wahhhh…. Hello Kitty watch.” *sigh* I ran downstairs, grabbed the effin watch and grabbed a bottle of milk (just in case). Wouldn’t you know it? “Umma! Milk. Wahhh wahh!” Handed her bottle over to her (thank God I picked up on my way up the first time). At 2:30am, “Wahhhhh where is my pillow? Umma where is my pillow?” Got her pillow, fluffed it up, and layed her on top of it. I actually wanted to throw her on but did not want the extra drama and wanted to just pass out. At 3:30am she woke up again but I can’t remember why. 4:30am I woke up because she was yelling in her sleep. She flipped over to her back and started yellling “IT’S MINE! MINE! IT’S ZOE! ZOEKUH! MINE!” and the whole time she was slapping her chest to emphasize the “mine”. At that point I was thinking…
SOMEBODY RESTRAIN ME CAUSE I’M GONNA BEAT HER SLEEPING ASS!!!*le sigh* So…it’s been just a tad bit hard this week so to speak.
This saturday the hubs and I are going on a dinner date. I’m so excited. I’m excited to go to dinner and not have to worry about spit up or spills, or feeding anyone but myself, or “sit in your chair”, or “stop talking to them and let them eat”, or “if you throw your fork on the floor one more time so help me”, or “lower your voice now”. I’m excited. Haha….
While I’m sitting here just thinking about the stuff that’s going on lately I want to give a gigantic shout out to my namps (aka nampyon). He’s awsome. He installed all the blinds that we just ordered on the first floor and main floor. He just installed the elfa shelf system in my closet so now I can give him his closet back (when i moved all my stuff over I realized I took up 2/3 of his closet space). He painted all the scratches and missed spots on the wall on the main floor and upstairs. He’s just been my non-stop handy man and I don’t give him enough credit. He’s really awsome. You’re awsome hun. Not American Idol awsome but just awsome to the 100th power. That’s been my life in a nutshell lately.
I know. I’m riveting. Can you even say that? Can you call yourself riveting? I peel rike my Engrish talking go away.
:: 02.26.10 :: We got mad snow up in this joint. For shizzicles.
It was like for the past 3 weeks there was one big snow fall each week. Zoe had fun. She would just plop her butt down on the snow, tilt her head back, close her eyes, and just have snowflakes land on her face.

Video: My Little Dork (I’m so proud)
Last week Lila and Mama Angie came over for a playdate right before all the snow came in. When they came over Angie gave Zoe a present that I think I got more excited about. I even followed the little girls around and tried to sing Bella Notte but they weren’t having any of it and totally ignored me. Whatevs. Ignore me will yous?! Well guess what?! News flash! I was ignoring YOUS. Yeah, that’s right. You just didn’t know. And it may have looked like I was following you guys around but I was just walking behind yous. Jerks. Last time I sing outta tune for you ladies.
