    Zoe’s Daily Funny:
So the week after we got back from DE, C spit out his window while driving and his spit streaked across the the back window (where Zoe sits). I haven’t had time to take the car in for a  wash. So last week I pick up the kids from school and while I’m driving I guess Zoe was looking out her window and goes…

Zoe: We have good weather today.
Me: We sure do. It’s not too hot…
Zoe: …And it’s not too cold, right?
    Me: Right.
Zoe: I like it like this.
    Me: Me too.

Next thing you know I could tell she was crying and I’m thinking “What? What now?! What minipause situation are you going through now?” In a quivering voice she goes…
Zoe: When is my window going to be pretty again?
    Me: What?!
Zoe: When is my window going to be pretty again?
Me: What do you mean? Pretty like what?
Zoe: Like Kayden’s window! Ahbah didn’t spit on Kayden’s window. Why did he spit on mine?!

Oh Lord. Are you kidding me? She is so overly dramatic. Yesterday it was raining a little and she goes…

Zoe: It’s raining today. I think the rain will wash away Ahpah’s spit. Oh I hope, I hope.

It’s still there. I can’t help but laugh thinking about it.

I spoke with the hubs a few days ago and was telling him how I woke up and I saw Zoe wedged between me and my mom on my bed.  How she doesn’t even wake me to ask me in the middle of the night to come sleep with her. Now she just comes in and probably thinks “Oh they saved me my spot” and just hops into bed and passes out between us.

Mind you the hubs was drunk (again) and he’s cracking up and goes “Oh God I miss that FOCKIN kid!”

Yesterday I stayed home from work because I got called out early the day before because Kayden had a temperature of 101. *sigh* His nose was like a dripping faucet. No fever all day yesterday thank God. And holy crap he’s clingy to me. And it’s not cause he’s sick. He’s like clingy ALL THE TIME! I went upstairs to get something and when I came down he’s standing by the gate leading downstairs cause he thought I went downstairs instead and he’s waiting for me crying. Our power also went out yesterday from like 12pm-9:20pm. GREATTTTTTTTTT! The one day I’m home and I have a list of things I want to take care of but couldn’t. Totally sucks! Oh well. By evening I had bought pizza from Cassie’s (so good) and we ate by candlelight. Then Zoe helped me light candles around the room and we tried to play in the dark. She had this flashlight we were using. It snorts every time you click it on but you have to keep clicking it to stay on so it keeps snorting. So annoying.

A few days ago I saw an email from TheBump with the topic “Could motherhood be making you crazy?” I chucked it. What kind of stupid question is that?! Um YEAH!

    :: 09.08.11 :: Day Six: Bethany Beach (Cloudy/Drizzle)
Today we spent some time at Bethany. In the evening we went to Fun Land one last time since it was our last night. Zoe had a lot of fun. However when we got back in the car to go back to the condo she said while half crying “Why did you bring me here?!” as in accusing us of taking her out of her God forsaken weekly routine at home. Coughcoughingratecoughcough….

    Zoe’s Daily Funny:
Earlier this week I told Zoe that it was bedtime and that we had to go up. After the lights were shut off we’re lying in bed and she whispers…

Zoe: I’m just gonna dream about my Transformer toy that Ahbah is going to get me in China. I’m just gonna make a wish and blow a bubble.

Alrighty then random girl person you. Weirdo.

Hun, she cried yesterday after school because she really missed you. Her words were…

“I don’t want halmeh or halmohni to play with me. I want daddy. When is he coming home? He’s NEVER coming home!” and then she proceeded to cry.

Yesterday morning I had a pleasant conversation with my husband who was drunk and attending some company function while in Hong Kong. One part of the conversation went like this…

C: Hey babe this party is sick.
Me: What’s so sick about it?
    C: It’s just sick.
    Me: Wait, are you drunk?!
C: What? No I’m just drunk.

Why am I having these weird conversations with my family?

    Let’s talk about Kayden.
Kayden is so cute. He loves fooling around. I’ll be holding him. And I’ll hold his one hand in my other hand like I’m doing the waltz and once I start humming he’ll automatically flip his head back. hahaha He also wants to get picked up A L L    T  H  E    T I M E! So he will usually crawl while crying to find me. It’s like his whole purpose of learning to crawl was to come find me. *sigh* That part me no likey. I’ll be doing dishes and I’ll hear him doing the crying crawl so I start to speed wash because I know he’ll get to me in a matter of seconds and then I’ll have to stop what I’m doing. He also started to eat rice. He LOVES rice. Rice and soup, Rice and geem (seaweed). Omigod the butterball LOVES rice and geem. He also loves macaroni noodles. He’ll just plop his ass on my lap and pop those bad boys into his mouth like he’s eating candy. I’ve been putting him down at 8 lately. He’s so tired and cranky by then. He’ll drink about 7oz of milk and then curl up with his blankie and will wake at 6am. He gets eczema flare ups by the sides of his mouth every now and then. I’m not sure if there’s an actual cause. I’ve eliminated apples and pears from his diet because I thought they were reason he was getting the flare ups but he’s still getting the flare ups. I need to get info for an allergist from his pediatrician. Might as well get Zoe tested too while we’re at it since the mango allergy runs in my family. I’ve never given her mangos yet.

:: 09.06.11 :: Day Four: Dewey Beach (Raining)
I don’t remember what we did on this day. Oh no I do. We went shopping at the outlets since it was raining. I was thinking to myself “Why do I only have photos from the morning of Zoe in her pj’s and a photo of her at night time in her pj’s? There’s no way I let her hang out in her pj’s all day. We didn’t get a lot. C bought himself a new jacket. He kept telling me to buy something. Like he really wanted to buy me something but I didn’t see anything I really liked. I let him buy me a belt at BCBG for $20. Zoe got a Pocahontas doll. Kay got lots of clothes. They even had a Janie and Jack outlet so we bought him his birthday outfit there. Later I was telling Zoe to go to the movies to watch The Smurfs with her dad. She kept telling him to stay in and watch Kayden so she could go with me instead. He asked her why. She said “Cause mommy’s sweeter.” Damn straight. Zoe also got really homesick around this time. She kept saying she wanted to go home to her house. The hubs said he thought she was ungrateful but I told him it’s just where she feels comfortable. Her room, her toys, her things…all the things that make her feel secure. You know?

:: 09.07.11 :: Day Five: Ocean City, Md (Sunny)
Ocean City was about 45 minutes away from Dewey. This day was also the first day we tried a fried twinkie and a fried oreo. Not bad. You do have to eat it right away though. We whipped out the wagon once again. They love riding it together. The reason I put Kayden on the floor of the wagon is because I don’t trust the fatty not to fall. Safety first. In the evening we headed out to the boardwalk on Rehoboth. We whipped out Zoe’s new kite and tested it out. She loved it. She looked so tiny holding it. Afterwards we hit up Fun Land again. She finally started to relax a little and have fun and not worry so much about the noise around her. We separated while we were there. C took Zoe on the rides while I tried some games out to win tickets. There was this stupid game where you put a quarter in and this light starts spinning in circles around you. The point of the game is to catch that light between the 2 arches in front of you by slamming on a button. Dude I rocked at that game. I won Kayden a Brobee doll. The hubs met up with us and saw that I won Kay a Brobee doll and so he tried out “my” new game. He sucked. He got like 2 tickets from it and his light was WAYYYYYYYYYY far away from the arches. He sucked the big one. Then he challenged me, after I talked a lot of shit, and I had to show him up. I won the stupid game and got it between the arches and won a 100 tickets. In yo face biznatch. He was super bitter. A SUPER BITTER LOSER! haha Later he won some other stupid quarter game and BY ACCIDENT. He won like 150-200 tickets. There was a mom near by with her son while C’s tickets were still being spit out of the machine and she was like “Wow! Sweetie look at all the tickets he won!” and he’s all like “WHOA!” I was like rolling my eyes thinking “Please shut up and stop feeding my husband’s ego. He won by ACCIDENT.” We left that place with a Brobee, a Foofa, and a Muno doll. We’re champions man.

    Zoe’s Daily Funny:
Zoe’s annoying thing lately is “Play with me! Play with me! Play with me!” Sometimes I can’t though. I’ll be getting their baths ready, or ready for work, or changing Kayden, or packing their lunch, or making them food. She just expects me to drop what I’m doing and I can’t. So she also has learned to negotiate. I’ll be like…

Me: Zoe wear a sweater. It’s cold today.
Zoe: I will wear a sweater but if I get hot later then I will ask Miss Kathy if it is ok to take it off ok?

    or

    Me: Zoe eat your food.
Zoe: If I eat it all like a big girl then can I get a piece of candy after I finish?

So this morning she kept asking me to play with her. I finally got all the lunches packed, had her teeth brushed, her hair did, and I said…

Me: Ok Zoe we can play now but only for 10 minutes.
    Zoe: Awwwww no. Nine!
    Me: …ok fine by me.

    Extra minute for mommy. YES!

Wow, it’s been a while since I’ve written huh? I’ve been busy.

So the hubs started a new job back in July.He had the night time watch duty of feeding Kayden whenever he woke up since Zoe forced me to sleep with her. A week before starting his job I heard Kayden crying around his usual time of 11pm. I could make out a sihlouette of my husband coming into Zoe’s room and he gets in my face and whispers “I’m sick of this shit. I’m crying him out. Don’t get him.” It wasn’t really a whisper. I was being nice. It was more like a hiss come to think of it. It took 3-4 days and then Fatty McFat was good. Now at night we just feed him his last bottle on my bed at 8:30, carry him to his crib, and then he always curls up on his left side and hugs his blankie and goes to sleep and wakes up 6ish every morning. He loves that blankie. Life is finally starting to look sweet again after having Kayden.

Well the hubs is on his first business trip. It’s a long one and it’s to Hong Kong. He left last friday and he’s not back till October 5th. He was
emailing me photos of what first class looked like. Show off. Hahaha…. He also wrote “I love you”. I mean he says it all the time but he never writes it and especially first. I don’t know. It’s not like he’s never been away from me but somehow…I really miss him and it’s only day one. I was up till 12:30 last night and I was just really sad. Not sad that he wasn’t here to help me but sad because he wasn’t with me. It was a strange feeling but yet good cause it just reafirms that after all these years I really do love him you know. You know we’ve been together for like 11 years? I was surprised at myself for feeling the way that I did. I also think a skunk farted on our house that night. I thought I should write that since I was talking about his first night away. We told Zoe that daddy was going to China to fight the Huns with Mulan. Hahaha….

Saturday morning Zoe goes “I miss my daddy a little bit because he went to China. He’s my only daddy and that’s why I’m sad.”

Before he left his boss was telling him to get me something nice while he was out there. He suggested jewelry. I’m like “no thanks”. I was like…

    Me: How ’bout a bag?
C: Sure! How ’bout Gucci with three “C’s”?!

    Um. How ’bout not foo?

    I miss him.

:: 09.03.11 :: Day One: Dewey Beach (Sunny)
We took our last summer trip to the Delaware shore for almost a week during Labor Day weekend. It was a 4 hour drive. The first day we just checked into the condo and scoped out the area.

:: 09.04.11 :: Day Two: Dewey Beach (Sunny)
We hung out at Dewey Beach. Zoe refused to go near the water. Chicken.  So we went ”treasure hunting for seashells”. Let me tell you she was picking up the broken pieces of shells and rocks. I tried to teach her but she liked what she liked. I give the hubs props for this time. While Zoe and I were hunting, he was hanging with Kayden who was getting super cranky. He just found a quiet spot on the beach and he just rocked him for a really long time while he just kept crying and he finally put him to sleep. If you know Kayden, this is not an easy task. You’re the best hun. In the evening we checked out the boardwalk in Rehoboth. We took Zoe to this place called Fun Land. It had games and a lot of kiddie rides. She kept freaking out from all the noise so we just broke out. Then I saw a marching band playing. She started to complain about all that noise too. Fun sponge. C went back to Fun Land and won Zoe a stuffed blue lobster doll. She told him to go back and win her a red one too. So demanding. He refused. I also remember a lot of ice cream being consumed during this trip. Kayden LOVES ice cream as does Zoe.

:: 09.05.11 :: Day Three: Rehoboth Beach (Partly Sunny)
We hung out at Rehoboth on this day. The waves were really rough. Once again Zoe was anti-ocean. So we looked for more shells and Zoe even made some sand-angels in the sand. We tried to go to Fun Land again but Zoe was a no go. The second we go in she covers her ears and she’s like on the verge of tears. She hates loud noise. We also tested out the wagon for the first time with Kayden. He L O V E D the wagon!
