Update
So just a quick update on my life. I’ve been laid off. I hate the sound of it. I prefer ‘displaced’. This happened before my trip to Cali. However I am very optimistic that I will find something within the company. I was set for a third interview today but I’m sick. Like wake-up-at-four-am-because-my-throat-was-killing-me sick and I’ve been up ever since. I hate being sick and I hope Zoe doesn’t get what I have this time cause I know it’s gonna hurt her and I can’t stand to see her in pain.
So I’ve been busy looking for a job, planning Zoe’s first birthday, and planning the hub’s birthday. *sigh* So I’ve been pretty busy. I’ll give you an update on everything that I’m planning on her dol towards the end of this month once I get everything compiled together.
I will however show you her invites. They came this past weekend.
And a photo of Zoe and I playing in her Bjorn last night after I readjusted the straps since she’s grown so much.

so sorry to hear about the layoff..or displacement….Girl, your a woman of many many talents..I saw your FB pics…You are very talented photographer…Hmmm, you should think of going into that….So many gift you have, maybe its a sign for a direction or set up your own company…I hope your job loss will not affect financially…..Anyways, love the invites…WOW, reddish so eyecatching….I can’t wait too what is in store……good luck with the job hunt..BTW, what is your profession?
@babymomof2 - aww i’ll be ok. i’m not worried. so it’s not red even though they look red. it’s more like a dark shade of carnation pink. but it’s purdy. i’m and admin assistant.

Despite your “displacement”–I’m sure you will find something soon. At least it gives you a bit more time with Zoe-monster. Do you still send her to daycare to save her spot?
@hkcho - whadda ya wanna do? i hope the weather is nice so maybe we can go for a walk. i send her to daycare. i’m still an employee till the 28th of feb. if i don’t find a job before then then perhaps i’ll stay home with zoe for a like a month and just collect my severence.
@hkcho - ooooh and when you come over you can get a first peek at the stuff i’m doing. when do you want to come over?
@PetiteMandoo - I hope the weather gets warmer soon. I guess if the weather is nice I should bring my stroller? It would be great to find something asap, but I’m also a bit envious of the people who can take a month or two with the baby….incidentally a lot of my friends who have been laid off are new mommies…

J wakes up at 7:30 and naps around 11 or 12 for about 1 hr….What time does Zoe nap? Shall we meet in afternoon when they are both refreshed????
sucks about your job, but it sounds like you have it under control with your interviews. and you’re so busy now anyway. i agree with with babymomof2 — you have so much talent. maybe this time can be exploratory. but yeah, i know…someone’s gotta pay the bills.

Sorry to hear about your job. Hubby lost his job recently too…which totally sucks because we need the insurance. At least M is enjoying her time with Daddy. Hope you find something soon, and can’t wait to hear more about Zoe’s birthday party planning.

Hang in there! It’s tough but you’ve got so much talent!!! Start your own company! If I were in the States, I would totally hire you to do my invites and organize parties
@PetiteMandoo - yeah, A thought it would be an awesome idea to breastfeed forever to keep the girls. right…he’s in for a not so pleasant surprise.
took a hiatus from the cards (got too busy and lazy…) i did make some cute giraffey thank you cards for my shower though. i have to rethink what i want to do professionally. my current job isn’t too stressful and it’s like a 15 minute walking commute. it’s pretty chill. well, i’m not going back till march so maybe i won’t have a job by then..
ideally, i’d like to do something part time if it pays enough. i thought i’d want to be a SAHM, but i miss meeting new people and the social interaction. plus, A works from home and the apt is way too small for both of us. it’s funny, but he’s been working from home for over 3 years now and sometimes i wonder if he lives under a rock.
