Happy 11 Months Monkey Butt!
Sorry on the lack of updates. Zoe’s been sick.
Oh Zoe. How you keep growing…and getting into things…and bumping your head…and smearing your boogies all over your face…and hogging up my side of the bed…but I would never sell you (even though your daddy keeps saying he would). We wouldn’t get much for you anyways since you’re not potty trained. It’s like trying to sell your house during this economic crisis. That would just be stupid on our part.
We’ll wait till you’re potty trained.
So you can now…
:: Pick food up, squish it between your fingers, and THEN put it in your mouth
:: Pick up the remote control, hold it to your ear like a phone and say, “Ohmah? Ugh. Ohmah? Ugh…Ugh…Ohmah?”
:: Open drawers
:: Stand up
:: Walk if you hold my hands. If I squat down to look at your pretty face you get pissed off cause you think I’m taking a break. Jerk. I won’t look at your face then!
:: Climb on the couch while stepping on my legs to get some leverage. Do I look like a ladder to you?!
:: Make the kissing noise
:: Click your tongue
:: Climb down the couch backwards…but only when I remind you.
:: Comprehend how to play with certain toys. You know you need to press a button to make things go or you know you need to move something on the toy in order for it to work.
:: Clap her hands and pat her lap and sway back and forth especially when she hears music
:: High five
:: Wave good bye
:: Play Peek a boo
:: Crawl super fast
:: Say “no”, “ohmah”, “ahbah”
:: Turn light switches off and sometimes on.
:: Hold on to the door knob to shut the door.
:: Put your hand to your mouth to make the “Indian” noise
:: Loves food therefore is trying to drink less formula. Do you know how expensive formula is missy?
I know there’s more. I’ll just keep adding if I remember.
So this week Zoe has been sick. She got my cold and has a really bad cough along with a runny nose. So I stayed home this entire week to nurse the monkey back to health.

Poor baby girl… I hope you both feel better real soon! It’s amazing how she’s growing up so fast. I feel like I know her even though I’ve never met her. Happy 11 month Zoe!!

She’s grown so much! I love her nap position. Evan does that too and I think it’s just sooo funny! Reading time is the same too…He takes away the book and it goes in his mouth or he turns away~
Sick babies = =((((( Hope she gets better fast! That picture of her new do and her continuous line eyes is so freaking cute! Her cuddling with her friends is ridiculously cute too. I just want to reach into my screen and squeeze her!

@PetiteMandoo - Of course he does the high chair stripper dance. He also likes to shake his “thang” when he’s naked (I swear boys are so weird!) and he still has the wonderfully dimpled cellulite butt.
Yes! He found the iphone. He was so mad and then I found it shoved under the sofa, wayyyyyyy in the corner and of course the battery was dead which is why it wasn’t ringing. I think i need to buy Justin a dummy iphone…They toy phones don’t cut it anymore!!!

@saraxqt - hahaha no it’s a poker table top. you just lay it over a table. it folds shut. i WISH we had a pool table. whatever i’m not playing with you. you look like a hustler sara! hahaha

Is that the Stokke high chair in the “big girl chair” photo? You seem to have a knack for finding bargains – is there a place you can get it w/o paying full price? My favorite pix are the little pigtails, naptime (it’s like she just passed out in the middle of playing – so cute!), your bathtime photo together, and Zoe with her daddy looking at the cake – the expression is priceless.
Phew. Do you know how long I’ve been waiting for a post?! Sorry to hear Zoe is sick, but darn she is cute. I’d totally buy her, but you’re right…after she’s potty-trained.

@virtualberta - yes it is a stokke chair and girl there are no deals. the cheapest i’ve seen it was like 170 something and that was on babycenter.com when they were closing down shop. i just saw a used black on on ebay for a “buy it now price” of 170 something as well. you might want to look that up.
tripp trapp has trapped me into buying something ridiculously expensive.

@petitemandoo – thanks for the info! darn! but, but…it’s useful, right? i mean, now that you have it, do you totally believe the marketing about how you can use it for your entire child’s life, even when they’re a teenager? expensive can be justified if you think you’ll use it a lot, right? (it’s what i’m trying to tell myself)
@virtualberta - dude…i am so with you. you try to reason why you need to buy something soooo pricey for your baby. my reasoning is that we’re going to use it a lot and she can eat with us and that we’ll use it for baby number 2.
i mean do you really see ur kid using this chair as a teenager? ya know? this is how i justified getting the bugaboo. “we’ll use it for number 2 and it’s like a baby transformer, see all the things it can do hun?!”
i’m ordering the seat kit with the rail and cushion. i’ll give you a review once i get it. plus since there’s no tray it’s easy for the baby to knock all the food on the floor. i ordered a specific plate. i’ll give you a review as soon as i get that too. the table top that stokke made for the high chair got really bad reviews from a lot of mommys.
@pc1004rn - haha no but when she sees her reflection and sees that they’re there she’ll sometimes pull it out.

@myblankeynme - oh sorry wrong cake. the one in the photo w/ zoe is a tiramisu cake. i got it at a korean bakery.HOWEVER i wouldn’t recommend getting it. the one we got was bad? as in the cream in the cake went bad or something. we took a bite and we all spit it out.
oh alright… did zoe get to eat the cake too? or is she not allowed to have sweets like that yet?
@petitemandoo – thanks for the advice (and upcoming reviews!). thank goodness you have hardwood floors. I’ve never understood rugs underneath dining tables – i’m an adult and i accidentally drop stuff on the floor all the time.
