  • Layoff Update

So this is my last week at work. I’m sad. I’m gonna miss a lot of people. For as long as I can remember I have ALWAYS worked. Since like, my junior year in highschool and throughout college. So now about to venture into something new…being a stay at home mom. Dun Dun DUN!! I feel that I will age in the months to come but I’m willing to embrace the new wrinkles that be for the Zoeski.

Last week I went in to see her daycare director and explained our current situation and she told me that Zoe will always be welcomed back even if there’s a waiting list. SUHWEET! And she said if I’m bored at home I can always come with Zoe and be like a subsitute teacher or a helper at the school. I love them there! I will truly miss seeing them every day.

    SNIFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!
I smell changes in the air. All new but good.

Yesterday I left work and was walking to the subway and I was just thinking about how much Zoe’s grown and I started tearing.  WHAT DA FOCK?!? Where are your balls of steel Susan?!! Get a grip of your hormones woman!!

Oh Zoe, how you turn me into mush even when you’re not with me.

I leave you with a kiss from Zoe. She never gives you one on the cheek. I force her lips on my cheek and she just drools on it and starts laughing like a lil geek.

  • Awwww….

I love being a stay at home mom and yes, it’s hard looking at my unmoisturized face and shabby dresses but it’s worth it.

  • I’m sure Zoe will be ecstatic about having her mommy 24/7…although I’m sorry to hear about you leaving your job..

  • sorry about the layoff, but so droll is probably right :) zoe’s gonna be sooo happy!

  • :(   Sad about your lay off…  My BIL just got laid off too!
:)   Zoe is so smart!  :P   What a cutie!

  • *muah!  back at zoe!

hahaha you are so funny susan, crying on the way to subway!  at least now you won’t miss any moments with zoe.  :)

  • i think it would be so nice for our kids to stay home.  take full advantage of this and enjoy your time with her.  maybe i can play hookie one day and come play with zoe with andrew….

  • sorry to hear about the lay-off > <

  • AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW THAT’S SO FREAKEN CUTE!

  • It’ll definitely be a change for you to stay home. You’ll love it even though it’s hard work. Hubby’s still looking for work….=

M sends kisses back to Zoe.

  • that’s the mother in you :)

  • I’m gonna ring your doorbell on the days I play hooky from work :P I wanna bbo-bbo from the Zoe monster too! Justin has been watching Sesame Street and I think of Zoe whenever I watch it~ :D

  • I think it’s great you get to spend some quality time with Zoe!  They really do grow up fast don’t they?!  She’s such a doll!  You can schedule more playdates when and if you need to get some air.

  •  seriously! I think you’re one of those natural people-person. And gosh you’re soooo good with zoe!

  • let’s be unemployed together!  call me!

  • sorry to hear about the lay off but you are going to have so much fun with Zoe….she’s at her cute age where they start to develop their own personality! if we could afford it, i’d like to be a stay at home mommy for a while.

  • you have steel balls?  mine are brass.

  • today’s my last day of work too!  and like you, i’ve always worked… from end of high school til now… maybe our babies can have a play date when the weather is a little warmer?  i’m in cliffside park.

  • @injeannieous - yeah i’m totally down! that would be so much fun. hey quick question, isn’t your hubby a photographer? do you know how much he charges for a dol? i’m trying to find one within our budget.

  • Enjoy the time off and being a SAHM!  I wish I could be a SAHM…

  • i can’t see zoe’s kiss. :(   i’m so sorry about the layoff but it will be wonderful that you can spend so much more time with zoe and watch her grow! i always feel sad that i can only see aidan 2-3 hours a day before he falls asleep.

  • it’s great that the day care will let Zoe in to interact with other kids for free! best of luck in your new lifestyle. change can be good.

  • @hkcho - you can come over any time you want! hahaha why do you think of zoe when you see sesame street?

  • @minglenyc - do you have access to facebook at work?

  • @PetiteMandoo - there’s a muppet named Zoe!!! hahahaha. :)

  • Its rough getting laid off but I’m thinking the timing isn’t too bad.  I sorta regret that I am working and missing so much of Matthew’s toddlerhood.  Believe me once Zoe gets to be around 1…life gets really interesting especially when they begin to walk

BTW…found out my cousin was intially laid off too but my aunt intervened and found her another position.  My aunt used to be some senior management position at AMEX for years and pulled some strings.

  • man, though I hate watching videos on blogs, I HAVE TO watch all your videos as I can’t miss seeing your Zoe! She is so adorable!!!

I’m sorry about your layoff. But I know you’ll do fine! This could be a good thing. Zoe will grow up so fast that you’ll look back and be thankful that you’ve had the time to spend with her. =)

  • @crazybride - awwwwwwww shucks i’m gonna tell zoe and she’s gonna get a big head. wait. she already has one.

  • good god woman she is SO CUTE! facebook??? you must add me :) find me on the other girls fb… (annie kim) :D

  • kiss kiss~  see you guys tomorrow~

  • us stay at home moms can join forces? play dates!? mall dates!?

  • I think it’s a great time to play “catch-up” with Zoe.

  • @PetiteMandoo - When is Zoe’s dol?  I’ll find out if he’s available…

  • i think times like this, enjoy being home with Zoey…Girl, i know how crazy busy and tired you were when working…at least you can get your thoughts cleared and rest yourself as well before you go back…plus, spend time with Zoey…its the best thing and i hope you can stay home forever…..i just feel it is the best but i also know times are hard and everyone has to have two income……..been there done it……..at this moment, take it slow and you will find that sometimes being at home you can cut and save a little more money then expected………..good luck.

  • hey hooch, you didn’t answer my original questions. you just asked a bunch of questions… lets see if you remember what i asked…. hmmmm

  • @PetiteMandoo - i don’t have access at work but i’m home now. facebook friend me. :)

  • While it sucks to have been laid off, what great timing for you to now be a SAHM.  I envy you.  I tell my Mr. “I ain’t bearing your children ’til I get to stay at home.”  Us still not having any kids should tell to you his answer to my demand.  :/  Embrace these years with your little girl!!

  • sorry to hear about your job. but now you can spend all your time with zoe! you won’t miss any of her cuteness.

  • @pc1004rn - was it whether or not i liked the highchair or not?

  • @injeannieous - oh and it’s going to be in pal park.

  • @PetiteMandoo - you remembered…  ok sooo???

  • @pc1004rn - well, i did answer back didn’t i? i thought i did. we don’t have the cushion and rail yet so i don’t want to make a decision till have those items. but w/o so far…eh?

  • @PetiteMandoo - i definitely think we should have waited before andrew was big enough to try some of the high chairs.  i think the trip trap is nice since the kids can grow with it, but comfort wise, i think the others would have been better. oh well…he’s stuck with this one.

  • oh nooo…i’m so sorry about the job thing.  it’ll be awesome though for you to be able to spend so much more time with zoe.  plus, you’re so creative that i think you’ll come up with tons of cool projects to work on while you’re home.
