  • More Solids For Dracula

From what I can see and touch, Zoe has 8 visible teeth. Which means I can give her more variety when it comes to meal time to practice using her chompers…

…HOWEVER, sweet lil Dracula here likes to bite.

I hit her hand when she does this and she just doesn’t get it. She thinks I”m playing. What do I do? How do I fix this?

  • what you need to do is wax those armpits…jingeuruhwuh lol jk

  • a little lower ;) hahaha sike nah. 8 teeth already!!! Akira only has 5!

  • oy! i dunno how to fix it… but i did let out a little shriek cuz i thought that last picture was a nip. hehe

  • i want a grilled cheese too!

  • I have a similar biting problem. I sternly tell him to stop it. But he laughs at me!

  • I remember having the same problem w/ rylie. I read somewhere that children repeat certain things to get a reaction out of their parents. I took this into consideration and stopped reacting to her biting and it eventually stopped after a few days.

  • try to teach her its a no no soon as possible…just because it will become a habit and she might do it to other kids…let alone, daycares really take actions on biting….hmmm, i’m trying to remember what my friends did??…i’ll let you know once i remember….WOW, what a bit….lol………..she sure sunk her teeth in you….Awwww, as cute as it is….it is something to correct just because she might display it to others…and you don’t want to get into that……BTW, yummy food…..also please be careful with keem bop…just because my mom gets so nervous especially, when sammie started to eat them….when i was a baby, i choked several times on those suckas……………lol………looks like your getting the hang of SAHM…..enjoy!

  • bite her back.  Kidding.
what an oinker, I love her!

  • Wow, your food pictures look delish!  It made me unthaw my veggie broth so I can add rice to it for lunch ^_^  Your bite looks serious… you should hit her harder!!!!  (just kidding… maybe…)

  • bites!? scary–

if you’re home now, wanna paris baguette one day next week?

  • @helenxmelon - i don’t want to acknowledge it but i kind of have to if i want her let go of my flesh. ya know. usually when it happens it’s really painful and your instint reaction is to hit her back. she just lets go and starts yelling.

  • i’m sorry i have no advice on the biting. aidan does it too and i have no idea how to make him stop. the other day, he put his hands on my face and leaned in (and i thought he was gonna give me a kiss), but nope, he bit my nose! >(

btw, what sippy cup is zoe using? i’ve been trying the born free ones and he’s not really into it.

  • put lemon or something really bitter/nasty but edible on your arm and let her bite you on the same spot….maybe it’ll taste bad enough so she won’t bite you again.  your soups look delish, were those homemade?

  • ugh. biting. Not that I’m an expert but you have to let her know that it cannot be tolerated with a pretty fierce “NO”.  Stop whatever fun you were having, put your serious mad Mom face on and say, “NO!  That is NOT happening” or “I will take all your toys and burn them if you don’t stop biting” or something like that.  On the first infringement, take action.  Don’t wait until she does it again.  One strike and you’re out.  And if she does it again, stop whatever you were doing and do the NO thing.. and maybe take her away from the situation so that she knows that no one is happy with her behavior.  Hopefully this tactic will work…

  • Does she like all the new foods you give her?

  • My sister and I weren’t biters so I don’t know…  I’ll ask on FB to some of my other mommy friends.

  • holy cowsers, that’s was one fiesty bite. my gf’s daughter does the same thing. she just pulls her away.

  • @hkcho - yeah. she hated grilled cheese before but now she shoves it in her mouth like the fat piggy that she is.

  • @XXKimPossibleXX - lemon, but i don’t want her to try to bite me again. i’m SCARED! hahahaha…. although it does seem like a genious idea. yeah i made the soups! woohoo! i know, i never cook so i was mucho proudo.

  • @annfengsimon - yesterday she bit me again on my other shoulder. i said if you do this again the auction that’s on limbo to sell your ass on ebaby will go into full swing. we’ll see if she buys into this lie.

  • Oh Dracula!!!!…LOL.  I had the same issue w/Matthew.  Everytime I would put my finger in his mouth to check his teeth or brush it…he would bite down HARD!!!  He thought it was a game too.  I just didn’t react to his bite…just looked at him.  After doing this a few times…he didn’t think it was a fun game anymore and he stopped bitting.  But boy…it took a lot of effort on my part not to scream in pain when he bit me!

  • yeah what is up with the biting?!?!?!  Nathaniel drives me nuts!  His doctor’s like, show him to kiss not bite…yeah that worked out real well

  • Where did she bite you?  Is that your leg?  Ow!  I heard that you can get kicked out of daycare if your kid bites other kids…

  • zoe has such a neat plate!  and is that a playtex sipster?  does zoe drink from it alot?  that’s the fourth or fifth sippy cup i’ve used w/ marian and she’s so not into the concept.  it’s better than other cups i’ve tried though.  i don’t know how i’m going to ever wean her off her bottle.

  • Damian is biting me now too.  We haven’t introduced beef to him yet, just chicken soup and rice (just like you have it there).  He loves rice so much I may just introduce him to Kim Bap

  • wow, i can totally see the teeth mark.  i’m not sure what you should do.

i think if she bites, maybe just stop what your doing, put her down tell her it hurts then walk away for a bit?  i dont know, i wouldn’t know what to do either.

  • btw…i have so many questions on making your own baby food. my phone is in repair, gonna call you when i get it back. dont have your number memorized.

  • That bite is OW!!  My friend flicks her son on the forehead because he doesn’t know how to copy that action.

  • @pc1004rn - sure! ask away. i have a book if you wanna borrow it too. or if you wanna make baby food at my house then come on over and bring your groceries.

  • @pc1004rn - i put her down and she just crawls away as if to say suit yourself stupid.

  • @manhattan_momma@momaroo - the plate is ceramic which my sister brought over from vietnam. look out for my next post. it may help you with the bottle thing.

  • @injeannieous - no it’s my arm. that lil vampire! i heard that too… don’t you think that’s a lil extreme to be kickin a kid out of school just cuz he bites?

  • @MarkJennBaby - his doctor’s not serious! is he? i mean zoe does the air kisses but i don’t see her changing her bites for kisses in the near future.

  • yo! the freaken kim bap is crazy cute and funny!

  • @PetiteMandoo - still debating if i should get the beaba babycook.  but definitely decided i’m going to make his food since  i’m transitioning him over to formula.

  • @PetiteMandoo - Yeah she was dead serious and so we tried but whenever we say “Nate bbo bbo”…He looks at you and puts his lips to yours lol…I tried the air kissing thing and I swear this boy thinks that move is just for girls because he’d rather put his hand to his mouth and make farting noises at you….

  • dude, zoe eats better than me on the days i’m home alone.  what a lucky gal!  looking for a 2nd daughter to adopt??  =P

  • @skippeeahn - only if she’s make believe! hahaha
