My mil left today for Korea so I wanted her to spend some time last night with Zoe. In this house we call it Q.T with Z (quality time w/ Zoe). I left her in her grandmother’s room and closed the door and she started bawling like a psycho baby. GEEZE! It was as if I was leaving her forever. So I took her fatass back. Can we say drama queen?

So yesterday Zoe and I had the wonderful pleasure of playing with Maddie + Olivia at their house. We got there at almost 2 and didn’t leave till almost 6. I had a lot of fun getting to know Nancy and the girls. Let me just tell you I think there living room is like a mini Toys R’ Us. The girls btw are so FRIGGIN cute. Maddie’s a lil chatterbox and a control freak. She’s three. Hahaha but omigosh I loved her. I loved playing with her. She let me wear her fairywings. I felt so honored. Thank you Maddie. You made me feel like I just won the lottery. Oh and before I left she finally gave me a smooch after much begging and I promised her that we’d be back and she and I did some sort of weird dance jig in the front yard while her parents stared at me like a freak job. They don’t understand the magical bond we got Maddie. It’s cause they’re normal and we live in the land of make believe plus we’re awsome dancers and they’re jealous. Olivia however is not quite as chatty. Probably cause she’s only a lil over a year but she’s a lil oinker. Her mother goes “Even if I wasn’t here she’d never starve. She’ll always find food.” All I can say is true dat. Her smile is super cute. Her eyes like twinkle when she smiles and when you ask her for a kiss she bends her head down as if she were royalty for you to smack one her forehead. Snob. Hahaha just kidding. I loved them. I loved Nancy. She’s so fuckin cool and relaxed and I loved how I could shoot the shit with her. You mah bitch girl.

So back in 2007 when I was prego, C’s cousin came to visit from Korea. Before he left he gave me a blue m&m hat and a bib for when the baby came. It looked like a gift for a baby boy. I whipped it out last month and she really liked the hat. I’m not crazy about it but it looks really cute on her.

I also brought out her Scholastics Dr Seuss backpack that my older sister gave her. She likes to put it on and sit on the floor and touch the straps of the bag while watching tv. I don’t know. She’s a weirdo. Can you believe in just 4 years she’s going to be using a backpack and yelling at me for giving her a kiss in front of her friends at school?! Omigod, omigod I can’t even think about that…it’s gonna make me sad.

My nephew Owen is so cute. He’s got beautiful complexion. It’s like this smooth, milky, white. Like if you werre eating an Oreo cookie you might try to dip it on his face before putting it in your mouth. And when he was born we all talked about what a beautiful (non asian) nose he had. He also adores Zoe and is very protective of her. For example, if we’re at my mom’s house and the stairs aren’t blocked off and Zoe starts crawling near it Owen will block her path (I’m talking the way a dog goes back and forth trying to get his herd together) and just say “nonono baby nono baby nono!” Cute. He also has this talent where he still sings Jingle Bells when you call him. Nobody gave him the memo that it’s almost Easter. And sometimes if you call before you even hear the words hello, my mother will pick up and say “Call right back” while you hear Owen whining about something in the background and then just hang up on you before you even get a word in. When you do call back you hear a lil boy’s voice go “Hewwo? Susan elmo? JINGLE BELL JINGLE BELL JINGLE AWAY!…”  Lovely. Gotta say, at 9am not looking foward to these kinda one way conversations with a 3 yr old. That’s more like a nooner call doncha think? Anyways I love him nonetheless. Well besides being an awsome singer and potential to be an awsome brother he’s got another talent!


 All I can say is “wow.”
I think my husband will be requesting a dance-off next time he sees him.

Hi! My life has been so busy since my layoff. It’s just like a whirlwind of events and happenings!

Last Wednesday at around 8:30am (as in our day was just starting off) Zoe and I were watching Sesame Street when all of a sudden the tv blacked out.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
What the heck do I do with her all day?! Ok mind you I do play with her but not consistently for hours. I like to leave the tv on as background entertainment while she plays. She didn’t even want to hang out in the living room without the tv on. Hahaha…*sigh* Thank God the tv repair guys came on monday but seriously that was like 5 days of constant clinginess and sheer boredom.

So as usual Zoe is super clingy to me and me only and even though it can be really annoying at times she has her moments. Especially when she’s being really cute and cuddly. So tuesday evening we lay her down in our bed and prop her head on a pillow and the hubs feeds her her last bottle. This is our usual night time routine. By the time she’s done the bottle she’s usually really sleepy and rolls off the pillow and lies on her belly to let us know she’s ready to sleep. While the husband was feeding her I was lying down behind her pillow with my head propped up to watch some tv. She finishes eating, rolls off her pillow, looks up, sees me, starts crawling to me, climbs on top of me, lays on top of me belly down, puts her head by my shoulder and proceds to stare up at me so she can fall asleep. It was soo cute! All I hear from the other side of the bed in a quiet voice is “She doesn’t do that shit for me.” Bitter. Poor daddy. Be a man. Suck it up.

This morning she wakes up at 5 and starts to cry. So I get up and bring her back to our room and lay her down next to me. She climbs on top of me, wraps her legs around my body and rests her head on my chest and tries to fall back asleep. Sooo cute! So after about ten minutes I gently slide her off so she can sleep next to me. She climbs back on top and assumes her position. She’s so cute. I suck it up and be a soldier and sleep with my human heating blanket on top of me.

I got rid of all of her 9-12 months clothes and whipped out all her 1-2 yr clothes. The girl has so many friggin dresses to wear. Even I don’t have that much.

Did you hear of renting toys? I thought it was genius. Have your kid play with a few toys and then after he’s done send them back and get a whole bunch of other toys. I told the hubs and he wasn’t too keen on the idea of HIS child playing with a “used” toy.  But then I pointed out how some of Zoe’s toys are used and all the toys she used to play with at daycare were used. Plus if you have a small living space and don’t want to use up the little room you have with toy clutter than I think this is perfect for you.

I still think it’s genius.
