Hat Day
So yesterday Miss Thang was sittin on my lap and I smelled something funky. I had just gotten finished changing her so I know that it wasn’t a diaper issue. The funkalicious odor was coming from her left ear. I saw dry puss. I stuck a q-tip in to see if it was wet inside and it turned up a lil yellow with some blood. We went to the dr’s today and he thinks she had an ear infection and that it ruptured. She’s on antibiotics now. And let me just say she went BESERK when she saw him and threw up a little bit of her lunch. She looked around the room like she was remembering what this place was and then when she saw him she lost it. Wow, I guess when you stick a needle in a baby enough times they’ll always remember you as ‘that’ person.
Poor thing. Man, I feel like there’s always something.

Zoe has A LOT of hats that are hand-me-downs. So because she started off the day with her ever favorite reindeer headband I brought out her hat drawer.
After lunch she insisted that I take down our wedding photo so she could look at it. She loves this photo.
And during dinner time she insisted on sitting at the kitchen island with us.

Awww so cute! My fave is the “give me some food sir” hat and the one with the ears. Yowza a ruptured ear infection sounds painful! She’s a lil trouper…Sigh* I tried to do “HAT DAY” with Justin last December…alas none of his hand me down hats fit. I was trying on 18-24 months sizes when I later found out after hat shopping that a 3T-4T hat fits NOW and the 5T hats have room to grow into.

hehehe love the hats! we bought some hats for M and also got some hand me downs too, but she never really wore them…or had to wear them.
we made a photo thing of M like that…but without the hats…it was her wacky hair “collage”.
hope the antibotics will get rid of that nasty infection. how long does it stick around for?
I love her hat collection! I love hats on C but he hates wearing hats and pulls them right off unless he’s distracted. I hope her little ear gets better fast! Poor little Zoe~

@ThePseudoHousewife - @saraxqt - @always_ss - I said we had hat day. I didn’t say she kept them on. why you think she got her fat grubby fingers on her head in most of the photos? She’s about to pull them off although it does look like she’s putting it on…but i can tell you she was pulling them off. Hahaha
So cute! Morgan got a lot of hand me down hats too, but too bad she’s got a big head and can’t fit most of them! I’m having trouble finding her a nice sunhat that will fit her big head!

hope Z’s ear infection gets better soon! mia has that same irrational fear of the doc. when i pull up in the parking lot she knows and starts crying. i LOVE her in her granny hat!!

she is soo cute w/ all her hats. i loved putting huddy in hats too. she’s so cooperative too! i swear, her and h are similar age but zoe seems WAY older and more mature. hahha.
@so_droll80 - we didn’t really put hats on her in the winter cause she was always wearing her bunting which already had the hoodie attached. maybe next winter if they still fit?

A) Zoe makes a great model for those hats! You should enter her into those Gap baby casting calls.
B) I love your wall of photos….even since the last time you posted without or very few of Zoe’s pictures. I’m actually trying to replicate that wall at my parent’s place.
C) Your last photo offers such a warm family feeling. I love those chairs!!!

zoe is definitely a hat girl. she has the best hats! particularly love the antlers and the granny hat.
I can’t believe Zoe leaves the hats on! My daughter would wear it for like a second. Little babies with hats are so cute! Hope her ear heals fast.
