  • Massachusetts – Day One

    :: 08.21.09 ::
We NEVER leave the time we plan. We had a master plan of packing the night before, waking up at 6am and then heading out the door by 7am. We woke up at 6:30ish but didn’t leave the house till 8:30 BUT we didn’t leave the area till 10. We had to get gas, pick up ice for our icebox, and pick up breakfast and some pastries for my sister’s family. However we hit no traffic whatsoever and got there by 1 in the afternoon. 3 friggin hours. Usually it takes us 4. I passed out after a bit. Zoe was a saint but started getting restless towards the last 10 minutes.

It was sooo good to see my sister and her family. I haven’t seen them since the spring. Ellis’ hair got so long. He looked like a California Korean surfer baby or something. Zoe and Ellis were practically hair twins. And Josie had gotten sooo big. She’s not the little girl I once knew. She’s sooo different now and so vocal. Actually too vocal. Haha…. Zoe started calling her “unnie” (big sister) right away. Ellis she referred to as ”baby”.

  • ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh cute overload!

  • Whoa Ellis and Zoe look a LOT alike…not just the hair (but that helps too!) Dude she left her Sesame Street backpack at my house…also does she like the Mickey hat? So cutE!

  • yes why does it always take forever to leave when going somewhere with child?

btw: i showed my sis your post on dolgoims and she made 2 for tyler’s dol. thanks for the post !
    it came out great!

  • the hair twins – it’s uncanny how similar their hair is.  are they about the same age, too?

  • @SarahakaHungry - they’re 2 weeks apart. their due dates were only a day apart but he came a week early and she came a week late.

  • Zoe is so cute, I love that her outfit matches her sunglasses – such a diva!  How did you get her to keep the beanie on with the chin strap?!  BTW, Will would NEVER let M eat the sweet rice ball (or anything remotely close) in the car or at home on her own – he’s so anal, he wipes her mouth after every single bite!  lecture him the next time you see him please – I tell him she’s a toddler and is supposed to make a mess, but he says no.

  • @Chabuki - hahaha who would have thought will would be like that. hahaha it’s actually annoying but endearing at the same time huh? hahaha she actually loves wearing hats and glasses. she loves seeing herself in the mirror after she has them on. i think that’s how she got into it. she puts her sunglasses on…during dinner….in the house….like a weirdo. hahah but i love that she loves it.

  • @Chabuki - do you see her mickey mouse hat in the first photo? we got that from hkcho just the day before and her head would be matted in sweat but she refuses to take it off. i don’t force her. its’ ALLLL her.

  • oh the last picture is precious & the family day photo made me laugh…

nice that you gave him some credit below :) you’re a good wife, kekekeke :)

  • @hkcho - she loves the hat. she actually carried it to her crib for her nap yesterday.

  • I scrolled down and saw Zoe tilting, then rolled off. Funny and cute.

  • they are twins! so cute. it takes forever to get out of the house…there’s always one. more. thing. to get.

  • @PetiteMandoo - haha Mrs. Jung, you are soooo jaded about Will.  Dude has his weirdo hang-ups – toliet paper has to be a certain way, dishes have to be done right away (not even 5 minutes can pass with a dish or cup in the sink), can’t roll or tuck his socks together (the long socks have to be folded in half together and all the ankle socks have to be stacked flat on top of one another), t-shirts have to hit a specific part of his jeans/shorts, windows can NEVER be left open even half an inch if there is a remote chance of rain (even if it’s 100 degrees), etc.  If you only knew what I have to put up with….

  • wow, zoe and ellis really look alike! it must be so nice having nieces and nephews! I CANNOT WAIT until my brother starts having kids!!!  I’m already so excited and they’re looking to wait another year or so! :(

  • @Chabuki - oh mrs it’s too late to turn back now hom : shut. up. dude he’s ocd!

  • first off, im way impressed with your camera! The kiddos are WAY TOO CUTE!!

  • We can never leave on time too.  Just when we’re ready to go out the door, someone has to go to the bathroom or run back for one more thing, etc.

I love Zoe’s matching sunglasses and dress.  What a fashionable little girl.

  • awww such great bonding time with the family!

  • LOL…love the matching hat!  Is that Hello Kitty a pillow or bag?

  • @joesee22 - it’s a pillow with a handle.

  • i couldn’t help it but laughing out loud at the pix of zoe felt out of her chair.  too funny.
she’s one stylish baby, love her polka dot dress & matching polka dot shades.  cutie pie!
