  • Our Fight | Flower Girl

    Zoe’s Daily Funny:
So when it comes to hugs or “i love you’s” Zoe is really possesive over her father. Like GOD FORBID he hug me or kiss me. *rolling my eyes* So saturday night he comes into Zoe’s room to kiss her good night and then kisses me good night (but he has to kiss me fast otherwise Zoe will stop him). So as he’s leaving the room I yell out…

    Me: Good night Hun!
Zoe: (trying to outdo me) GOOD NIGHT HUN!
    C: Good night.
    Me: I love you.
    Zoe: I LOVE YOU!
C: (as he’s closing the door) I love you too.

Zoe turns to me and goes…

Zoe: Ahbah didn’t say I love you or good night to you because he doesn’t love you that much.

     Beach….es are nice.

I know I always write about the sweet things that Zoe says or does but trust me, she’s no saint. Zoe and I had the biggest fight 2 weeks ago. Like I was going to beat her ass! I picked her and Kayden up from school and once I had them buckled in I told her that I had gotten her a Barbie movie (her latest thing). HOWEVER, I told her she could watch it after we went home, took a bath first, and then I’d play it for her during dinner. Well when we got home I took Kayden upstairs with me to run the bath. I come down and tell her to come upstairs. She ignored me. I give her till the count of 3. Still no budging. OH. HELLLLLS to the NO. This does not fly for me. I go over yell at her and she screaming back in my face telling me “DON’T COUNT!” I hit her in the butt and she still doesn’t budge and is just crying. Then I drag her sorry ass, while holding Kayden mind you, who’s looking at us like we’re both crazy. I put them both in the bath and the entire time she’s just sulking, and whining, and crying, and telling me she’s not going to talk to me anymore, and that she’s mad at me. Puh leeze! So it was like the same friggin’ conversation over and over and over the whole time I’m washing Kayden down….

Me: Don’t ask me to watch the movie today. You lost your chance. I TOLD YOU that if you listened you could watch the movie. Today you are not being a good girl.
Zoe: I’m a GOOD girl! I wanna watch it.
    Me: Too bad.
    Zoe: I’m sorry I didn’t listen.
    Me: (ignoring)
    Zoe: Mommy I’m sorry I didn’t listen.
Me: Ok that’s fine. You still can’t watch it.
Zoe: WHY! Fine! I’m not going to talk to you anymore!
Me: Fine by me. I’m only talking to Daddy and Kayden today.
    Zoe: TALK TO ME!
    Me: (ignoring)
Zoe: You’re breaking my heart mommy.
    Me: You already broke mine.
    Zoe: Mommy I’m sorry I didn’t listen.
Me: Zoe that’s fine but you still can’t watch the movie. If you’re good tomorrow maybe you can watch it then. Today no way.
Zoe: Fine! I’m mad at you!
Me: That’s fine cause I’m mad at you. If you ask me one more time about the movie it will go in the trash.
Zoe: FINE! I’M NEVER TALKING TO YOU AGAIN!
    Me: Please don’t.

Like friggin’ shoot me someone! I felt like her pms and teenager years were kicking in 10 years sooner than planned. Why am I being punished? Why?

{12.12.11} Patty & Danny’s Wedding (I’m sorry I totally forgot to post this. In my defense I just had a baby a month before)
Zoe was asked to be the flower girl at Patty and Danny’s wedding. She insisted that she wear her hair down and curly. We practiced walking and throwing socks out of her flower basket for 2 months. She was totally ready. Right before it was her turn to walk she didn’t want to do it anymore. I whipped out a bag of Skittles and told her it was all hers if she walked. That little girl turned to walk down the aisle and worked it like a pro. We were so proud of her! Kayden also came with us to the wedding. My sister in law bailed on the babysitting because her whole family came down with a cold.

There’s also a photo of her on the Cly Creations blog.

  • hello drama!!! thems kids are crazy sometimes. i get the same thing too. man, and it’s so hard to put down your foot when they’re so cute!!! why can’t they just do things the first time we ask them?!

what a super cute flowergirl! too funny about practicing throwing the socks. M’s been a flowergirl twice already and no throwing of flowers, just a flower ball for one, and a tiny bouquet for another. her 3rd time’s coming up next june! anyhow, i’m glad Z walked down the aisle with only the bribe of skittles. my BIL’s niece who was supposed to walk down with M for the wedding last yr was hysterical! she was in tears, sobbing so bad her nose started bleeding, and then her flowerball broke. girlfriend should have been a pro since she’s a model! M was so lost as any 3yo would be, like why isn’t she walking down with me like we practiced, and pulling on her arm (gently) to go. drama! anyhow, why do i always ramble when i’m commenting on your posts? i need an intervention.

  • such a cute flowergirl! and dang…i won’t regret the teenage years that’s for sure..my younger cousin who lives with me is 17 and she is sooo EMO…i can’t stand it..i often wonder if i was that bad as a teenager…so I can’t even imagine if Zoe is throwing a ‘tude now at you…

  • Kids are so cute sometimes.I have a three and a half year old little girl myself and when she doesn’t listen or act out, I ignore her, or don’t let her watch TV, because she likes to watch Nick Jr. Once I ignore her, then she’ll feel bad and she’ll say sorry. I told her to just not do it again. How old is your little girl?

  • if I don’t let lauren do or touch something she goes running to her dad fake crying -_-

  • @JoneReyes - she’s almost 3 and half.

  • @mamajoyjoy@momaroo - hahah i love your ramblings. it’s like we go off in our own planet. hahaha i do it ALL THE TIME.

  • @mickie_k - they’re sooo dramatic right?! i have never rolled my eyes so much before as i do now.

  • uhm, you dont look like you had a kid a month before in those wedding pics.

And Zoe is such a hoot!  Not that I condone her mouthing off to you, but it’s pretty funny watching her progression from mad, to sorry, to frustrated to mad!  LOL

  • @PetiteMandoo - Okay, so both our daughters are the same age. Does she go to daycare/school yet?

  • @JoneReyes - oh yeah. she’s been going since 3 months old. i had to go back to work and then i got laid off right before her 1st birthday so i pulled her out and she stayed home with me for a year and then i put her back in right around her 2nd birthday.

  • @PetiteMandoo - My daughter just started to go about a year ago. The first one she went to for about three months was horrible, so when she was able to go to the one that we really wanted to put her in, she’s been going there ever since and she’s learned a lot and now she’s even potty trained already. I love the school/daycare she’s going to now. The nuns teach her and their good with her.

  • ugh honestly its the type of arguments i have with my sister. only about her not cleaning up, not listening to me and her being a… beach.

  • Zoe: You’re breaking my heart mommy.
Oh man…I know you were probably fuming at the time but this is just too damn sweet and cute!

  • She’s so beautiful! Like you – I love the family photo where she’s just grinning. So precious!
