    Zoe’s Daily Funny:
Zoe still loves to declare her love to me. It’s really sweet cause she’ll tell me at the most random times that she loves me. A few weeks ago…

    Zoe: Mommy I love you.
Me: I love you too Zoe.
Zoe: You know that I love you?
    Me: Yes always.
Zoe: And am I your hero?
    Me: Yes. Always.
Zoe: Because I protect you from daddy when he’s being mean to you?
    Me: Yes.
Zoe: Don’t worry. I’ll always protect you.

Now when Daddy’s being “mean to me” that’s when he says things to me like when I’m being a smart ass and his retort is “get out of MY house” or when he tells me I’m a bad singer. Things of that nature. She is my little warrior. Sometimes when the husband is minding his old business and singing a song you hear her say from across the room “whoever thinks daddy’s a bad singer raise your hand.” All hands go up. We girls stick together. Girl power.

Ok. I may lose more readers after this but I will admit here on my precious blog that I have hopped on the Justin Bieber train. HOLLA! Did someone just call me a loser? I’m sorry I can’t hear you. I have to say I didn’t really care for him much but after watching part of the Never Say Never video you end up liking the kid. I was watching it in bed while the hubs snored away next to me and I was watching all the widdle girls crying their eyes out while singing along to his music and I was laughing out loud. Hahaha…. Brings me back to the days of NKOTB. God I loved them…not to the point where I cried though. I don’t get that. You’re so consumed by emotion just by watching your favorite singer perform and you just bawl your eyes out? Omigod if Zoe got like that I’d laugh in her face. Hahaha…. I downloaded his Christmas song, Mistletoe the very next day. I’m a winner. Please don’t go girl! You would ruin my whole world.Tell me you’ll stay! Never ever go away. Ok so for you young bucks that are like “huh? who?” They were the Beatles of our time. Here, wiki them.

I was thinking about things to get for the kids for Christmas. You know she wants an air hockey table? I was GOING to buy Zoe the Leap Pad but I hear the apps are expensive and knowing Zoe she’ll want every friggin app. So the hubs, my brave black friday fightin’ warrior of a man, headed out to Walmart while I put the kids down on Thanksgiving evening to find his kids some decent gifts come Christmas morning under the tree. He was number 143 out of 200 waiting in line for the awesome X-Box/Kinect deal. Score! I wanted to get Kayden this Lego Duplo set that Haekyung told me about but the hubs said by the time he got the Xbox the store was packed and he wanted out. So I got that online for him this week. Woohoo! The hubs told me that next year we need to be a 2 man team. One person waits in line in the electronics dept while the other person gets all the other stuff. I’m in.

I was also thinking about getting Zoe a doll this Christmas. One that she could relate to with long black hair. Like the Audrey doll at PBK. It’s soft and plush and she can sleep with it. However she has a lot of dolls and doesn’t play with any of them. They all pale in comparison next to Pink. So for Zoe, dolls are a waste of money. They just sit on her shelf, collecting dust, while gazing at her longing for her to just touch them, even if it’s just to throw them on the floor. Poor things. The day that she stops playing with Pink is a day that I don’t look foward to. It’s like one more thing in her little innocent adolescent world that she’s letting go because she’ll want to date, and go to the prom, and go to college, and get married. Omigod I cry!

    I know.
    She’s only 3.
    But she’s almost 4.
But that’s still too close to 18, and 21, and 30.  *sniff*

She really wants the Rapunzel doll (the Disney Animators’ collection) and the unicorn Stompeez that she saw on an infomercial.

I want to get Kayden something special just because he is getting shafted in the photo department, and because he is the baby and my little cutie pie, and because he may have to do a do-over in the circumcision department which we will save for another post. Zoe’s so easy to shop for. What do you get a 1 year old boy?

  • I wish my Gavin would be on team-mama just even a tiny bit as much like Zoe I would be super happy; he’s all “DADADADADADADAD DEDEEDEDEEDEE”, and totally ignores me when his dad’s there.

  • apparently do-overs on circumcisions are really common. better now than later i guess…haha

  • hehehe…that pic of them together. i think they interrupted kayden from his work to take this pic and he’s waiting to get back to it. =p

i’m clueless in boy dept, but my nephew LOVES construction trucks. girls are so much more fun to shop for…many more options if you ask me….

  • At 1, I really had no idea what to get my friend’s boys other than appropriate for 1 year old toys – big old blocks, soft things, things that aided with development.  So glad that they’re toddlers and preschoolers now – they’re getting tons of Thomas stuff from me.

  • @mickie_k - better now than never said all the people without penises. hahahaha i know. oh my poor baby.

  • @QueueWhyWhy - i think it’s reversed for you and i. i heard little girls are usually team daddy and boys are all pro mommy. hahaha my husband is just WAITING for the day for her to switch over.

  • @bellabella - i can’t believe you’ve been reading about them 4 years either. you need to find a hobby. hahahaha

  • but that’s the point…this is my hobby….LOL

  • Love the pics.  Sure beats the laser beam background during the days of my youth.  And… NKOTB rocks.
