Halloween
Zoe’s Daily Funny:
Every night I change Kayden, and shut off the lights, and give his bottle while he lies on my bed. Then after he’s done I’ll move him to his crib. During this time the hubs always helps Zoe with her pj’s, and then brushes her teeth, helps her wash up, and then make her go pee one last time. Then he’ll let her play or they’ll play with ipad together while they wait for me to put her down. A few weeks ago after both of our nightly routines were done, I had just gotten Kayden down and was heading into Zoe’s room. As I was going in the hubs was on his way out and I hear him say….C: Well I didn’t want to sleep with you anyways. I’m gonna go sleep with Kayden!
Me: He’s already sleeping. What happened?
C: I asked her if I could sleep with her tonight and she said (mocking her voice) “You can’t sleep with me because you don’t have long hair.”But I do. Lucky me.
So let me just say that the husband and I have watched Rio 1,672 times in the past week and a half. Actually I saw it a lot more than he did since I get home before he does. Once again, lucky me. Zoe saw this at the theater when it came out but the husband got the dvd on sale during black Friday. We’ve watched it this many times because SOMEONE is hooked on the movie. It’s not Zoe. It’s the fat one. He’s obsessed. He L O V E S this movie. Sometimes we’ll get home and he’ll just point to the tv and go “uh uh uh!’’ which in Kayden talk means “Let’s go lady! You know the drill!” The other day he was in his high chair and I was trying to feed him and he wasn’t having it. He started to whine. So I picked him up. Then he started whining again. So I put him on the floor. Then he started whining some more. Like nothing I was doing was making him happy. So I put in the damn movie, put him in his high chair again, and he quietly ate as he watched the movie. Annoying. However I am glad that it holds his attention long enough for me to feed him.

So Zoe was SUPPOSED to be Jasmine and to which we made Kayden her Abu. 5 minutes before heading out she said she wanted to be Snow White BECAUSE “Jasmine is not a real princess because she wears pants.” Ok whatever Zoe. Now Kayden was just a plain monkey. Her father even scolded/threatened her “Zoe, Daddy spent $40 on your costume for nothing. That’s it. I’m going to take it all back. The shoes, the costume, and the tiara.” She goes “Okay.” Mr I’m-Putting-My-Foot-Down-But-I’m-Really-Whipped-By-My-3-Yr-Old didn’t didn’t know she was going to call his bluff so he gives me a quick sideway glance as I’m waiting totally amused to see his next move and says “Ok I’ll let you keep it this one time but next time no more!” Wow. Way to go Scary Man!
She had an awesome time trick-or-treating. We did Broad Ave just cause it was safer. Safer going to a stranger’s store than a stranger’s home if that makes any sense. Kayden was really good in the stroller too because he was just busy staring at everyone in costume. This was her first time trick-or-treating but we are most definitely going to do it again next year.

the cupcake are so cute! Just curious, is Zoe wearing Disney’s size 2/3 snow white or size 4? Wondering is they are true to size. thanks.
happy birthday ajummaaaaaaaaaaaaa <3
her rationalizations are hilarious…dang..i wish that could make sense for adults…
how interesting that Kayden is the one demanding to see a movie on repeat! his monkey costume kills me.
@SarahakaHungry - yeah right? and his attention span watching this particular movie surprises me too.
@petitetokio - it’s mrs ajumah to you missy. thanks eunah!!!! (((((hugs)))))
@O_miss - zoe was always on the skinny side. her first dress was the snow white one and i bought a size 4. she can wear it now but at 2 i had to pin up the hem and she LOVED that dress. now she wears 2/3 but i’m starting to see her ankles. so she is definitely growing out of them. if ur daughter is a little bit on the normal/heavy side i’d order a size up. they can always grow into it.
does zoe sleep by herself in her room after you put her to sleep? i’m trying to transition my 2.5 year old daughter to her own room, but i’ve been sleeping on the floor next to her so far. she wakes up at night just to check to see if i’m there.
@efficientb2 - it’s hard right? so i lay next to her and the rule is is that she has to face the wall if she wants me to sleep with her. sometimes she gets fidgety so i make her “freeze” or i’m leaving threats. then once she’s out i move to my room. she always comes to our room in the middle of the night and sleeps in the middle. ALWAYS. however on monday night i fell asleep waiting for her to go to sleep. i woke up at 4. she was gone. i move to my room and she’s sleeping on MY SIDE of the bed. when she woke up i was like “zoe you left me!” and she’s like “i’m sorry i didn’t know.” i think she was so dilerious and so used to just automatically going to my room she didn’t realize i was sleeping next to her still.
