Video: Say Blah-BLah-Blah Princess Zoe
Zoe’s Daily Funny:
We went to eat at Applebee’s a few weekends ago for dinner since we were already out. While waiting for our food Zoe and the hubs were having a conversation while sitting across from each other.
C: Do you want to go to church with mommy tomorrow or do you want to stay home with daddy?
Zoe: Go to church with mommy.
C: Do you want to go to church with mommy or go to Dutch Wonderland with Daddy?
Zoe: Church with mommy
C: Do you want to go to church with mommy or do you want to go see princesses with Daddy?
Zoe: Church with mommy
C: Do you want to walk home from here or do you want to run home?
So I got Zoe on video in her “princess mode”. This is what I have to deal with.

The Princess Diary
Zoe’s Daily Funny:
The princess phase….Ah yes…How I’ve wanted to avoid this phase yet I bought her all the Disney Princess movies. Aurora was her first. She didn’t seem to care for it much. Snow White was her 2nd and she LOVED her. I honestly think it’s cause she’s got black hair, Snow White’s got black hair….*le sigh* I mean it doesn’t matter that she’s white, you’re asian, she can talk to animals, you can’t. She loved the Little Mermaid. I was holding her hand walking down the stairs yesterday and all of a sudden she busted out “Ahhhhhh, Ahhhhhh, Ahhhhhhhhhh, Ahhhhhhhh”. OH LORDY. Can we say tone deaf? Actually she’s not that bad. Then the next one was Alladdin. She loved Jasmine. So did her dad, loved Jasmine I mean. Next was Belle. I think she thought she was ok but it’s most definitely not her top 3. Mulan I thought she would most relate to because of the Asian connection but besides Mulan taking a bath and getting ready for the matchmaker while singing “Honor To Us All”. Zoe could care less. Racist. I don’t think she’s princessy enough in Zoe’s mind. I just recently got her the Cinderella DVD and I think it’s still too new for me to say that she loves it but she likes it a lot and watched it about 6 times already since she got it a week ago.She also does this thing with her favorite blankie where she likes to wrap it around her body and claims it’s her princess dress. She’ll also top it off with her $1 tiara I got from Target and go into princess mode. So what I call Zoe’s princess mode is where she actually goes into character. The first time we saw it was when she was wearing her Ariel dress and her dad was trying to carry down a basket full of dirty laundry downstairs. I went to open the babygate for him at the top of the stairs and Zoe was standing in the way.
Me: ZOE MOVE!
Hubs: MOVE!!!!!
In her cute lil voice with her head cocked to one side….
Zoe: Say “Move princess Zoe.”
ARE.YOU. FRIGGIN. KIDDING. ME?
That same day she was doing something or whining about something and I said….
Me: Do you want a time out?!
Zoe: Mommy say “Do you want a time out Princess Zoe?”
It was so funny I couldn’t even be mad anymore. I mean how can you be mad at that? Hahaha
This past Wednesday she had on her ‘blankie princess dress’ and I wanted to check her diaper…
Me: Zoe.
Zoe: Huh?
Me: Come here.
She turns her back on me to inspect her toys on her shelf as if I didn’t just call her name. IGNORE ME?
Me: ZOE! I said come here! NOW!
Zoe: Say “Come here Princess Zoe.”
Me: *LE SIGH* Come here Princess Zoe.
Zoe: *smiling* No.
I swear. She’s a punk. I don’t care what any of you guys say. She’s a punk.
On Monday she was sitting in her car seat watching her dvd and I explained to her that Melody (Ariel’s daughter in Little Mermaid II was a princess).
Me: Zoe did you know that Melody is a princess?
Zoe: *gasp* Like Zoe?
Me: (looking in the rearview mirror at her) You’re not a princess! Princesses don’t pick their nose
Zoe: (still shoving her finger up her tunnel) There’s something in there. I have to get it.Her new “princess” thing to add to the list is she likes to dance while holding my hand or her father’s hand and she makes us sing a princess song. Her dad SUCKS in the department of lyrics. I’m actually lyrically awesome.

Yo Gabba Gabba Live!
Zoe’s Daily Funny:
Did you ever get lectured by a 2 1/2 yr old? It’s not fun. It’s funny but not fun. I got lectured by Zoe this morning. We were on our way to drop her dad off at the bus stop. I was trying to make a right turn at a red light. I was looking to my left to make sure traffic was cleared before I turned that I didn’t notice a guy trying to cross the street on my right. So then the hubs was like “WHOAWHOAWHOA!!!” All of a sudden miss nosey-busy-body in her car seat was ALLLLLL UP IN MY BIZ!!! Like she was up on it, over it, in it, under it, next to it, etc…
Zoe: What you do?! What you do?! Umma! Umma! What you do?! What you dood!!!!!!!!? WHAT YOU DOOOOOOOD!?
Me: *sigh* Mommy almost hit someone with the car
Zoe: Why?
Me: Because I wasn’t looking. I didn’t look both ways. So I didn’t see a man next to the car and I almost hit him.
Zoe: Why you do that?
Me: It was an accident. If I hit him he would have gotten hurt. A big ouchie.
Zoe: Becareful mommy.
Me: I know. It was an accident.
Zoe: Don’t drive faster ok?
Me: Ok.
Zoe: Drive slowly. Okay?!
Me: Ok. Hahaha… Excuse me I’m the mommy here.
Zoe: You say sorry okay?
Me: Sorry.
Zoe: To the man
Me: He’s already gone Zoe. I’m sorry okay!? I said I was sorry!
Zoe: It’s ok. Don’t worry. Don’t be sad. You hit him then, then, then he crying. Be careful.
Me: I said I was sorry! Ok I’ll be careful.
Dude I got lectured from the time we dropped off her dad till I dropped her lecturing butt off at school.
:: 08.27.10 :: Yo Gabba Gabba Live / Bethel Woods Center For Arts
I took a day off for this. So did the hubs but we only got two tickets so he found a golf course near by and recruited two friends to play hooky with him. I think I was more excited than Zoe was. I mean she was excited but I was like SUPER excited! Thanks to Mira for the tickets!
The venue was beautiful! This is where they held the orignal Woodstock festival in 1969. It was like in the middle of nowhere and there was sooo much land and fresh air and you can just tell they take very good care of the venue and it’s surroundings. Zoe’s still talking about how Jack Black wasn’t at the show. She was like a little on the quiet side but I think it’s just cause she was in awe. Haha… I have to say after this show, DJ Lance is my favorite. He’s like lanky and dorky and way overly excited when he talks. I love. I even made Zoe a t-shirt for the special day.

Homework Already! I’m Excited!
Zoe’s Daily Funny:
We were driving to drop C off at the bus stop one morning last week and we were trying to get Zoe psyched about going to Dutch Wonderland over the weekend.
Me: Zoe are you going to talk to Duke the dragon this time?
Zoe: Mmmhmm. I’m gonna say “Can I ride the train?”
Me: You’re not going to be scared of him this time?
Zoe: Actually….
Me: HAHAHAHA Actually?!
Zoe: Mom, I’m gonna say “Can I ride the train?”
Me: Did you hear her hun?!
C: Did she say actually? hahaha
Zoe: I probably go to Dutch Wonderland and…
Me: HAHAAHHA Probably?! Where are you getting these words?
Zoe: I dunno.
Dude she cracks us up.
:: 09.09.10 :: Homework
So now that Zoe has been bumped up a class she got her first homework assignment this week. So cute! It was to trace her hand on a piece of paper and count how many fingers were on that hand. PIECE OF CAKE! She also gets a report sent home weekly on how she was doing that week and what they were were learning. Yesterday we got the first report and I read outloud to C…
Me: Child’s name Zoe. Had a good week. Ok hun the choices are fair, good, and super. Her teacher circled good.
C: Good?
Me: Yeah
C: (talking out loud as if Zoe was even paying attention to him) Zoe! Good? Just good? Not super? I WILL NOT SETTLE FOR MEDIOCRITY!
Hahahaha…. Anyhoots.

Photo Comparison at 28wks
I’m pretty much carrying the same ladies…Here’s a comparison.
Here I am with Zoe in the oven at 28wks. Here I am with my new ass kicker in the oven at 28wks.
Honestly I know I’ll be surprised if it’s a girl and everyone has their opinion on what it’s going to be but honestly nobody knows. It’s in God’s hands and those are the best hands to be in.

Month 6 / Gestational Diabetes
Zoe’s Daily Funny:
Zoe is really possessive of me. Especially when it comes to her father. Sometimes he’ll try to get a rise out of her on purpose just to tease her. So last week Zoe and I were in bed and he came and wedged his big man body between us and then those two started to argue.
Zoe: Noooo don’t touch my mommy.
Hubs: I can touch her if I want to. She’s my wife.
Zoe: No! She’s MY wife! (climbing over him to reposses what is hers-me)
Hubs: I’m married to her!
Zoe: No I marry mommy! MY mommy!
Hubs: Nope. She’s mine.
Zoe: No ahpah! MY mommy. Leave her alone.
Hubs: No she’s my wife.
Zoe: She’s MY wife!
Hubs: You’re not married to her!
Zoe: I marry her!
I think this went on for like 2 minutes or so. I feel so wanted. Hahaha
Since then they’ve had 2 more arguments about this. One time she cried. Hahaha
:: Gestational Diabetes ::
I had to get tested for Gestational Diabetes at 27 weeks which was about 3 weeks ago. Everthing turned out fine and I have to tell you that the orange flavored drink didn’t taste that bad this time. I’m always a little worried when it comes to this test since my mother was diagnosed with type II diabetes. And they say that if you do end up getting gestational diabetes during your pregnancy you have a higher chance of getting diabetes later in life. Here’s an article I found about how the numbers for GD is actually going up - Article. Another interesting fact they list is that Korean-American and Filipino-American women have twice the risk of GD compared with Caucasian and African-American women.
:: Month 6 ::
I am actually at month 7 now. Shows how bad I am at keeping up with this for baby number two. I have 10 more weeks to go! It seems so far away but 10 is still better than 40 weeks away! WOOHOO! We still don’t know the sex. It should be a nice surprise. I still think it’s a girl all because it’s so similar to the first pregnancy. HOWEVER this one has been super active to the point where I think it’s going pull the “Alien” scene and just pop out of my belly. Sometimes the way it moves it hurts my belly. My bladder has gone to shit. I wear pads. You know why? Cause I’m scared of leakage. I feel like an 82 year old in a 25 year old’s body. Ok shut up. So I subtracted 10 years. SO WHAT!!! I feel 25. So I am only as old as I feel. Haters. Shut up. I think I’m going to schedule a 4D ultrasound like I did for Zoe for next month.

I like how Zoe is in some of the background photos. It’s nice. It’s like when we look back her little brother/sister will no she was waiting for them too.

Zoe Is With Child or Shall We Say Elephant?
Zoe’s Daily Funny:
This actually just happened about an hour ago. We’re lying in bed watching James and the Giant Peach and then out of the blue she wants to stuff Mr Pink up her shirt.
Zoe: Mommy look at my baby. I have a baby inside like mommy. He’s sooo cute.
Me: Oh yeah? How old is your baby?
Zoe: Two. No, no! Zero.
Me: Zero years old?
Zoe: Yeah. Mommy! My baby is kicking me! Say baby no kicking.
Me:
Baby no kicking.
Zoe: Belly cheers! (we bump bellies)
Biter. Why you gotta copy everything I do? Why you gotta go and try to steal my pregnancy thunder?
She refused to take it out so….

To Grandmother’s House We Go…
Zoe’s Daily Funny:
Last week we were all sick. We gave Zoe Cherratussin at night so she wouldn’t wake in the middle of the night from coughing. She, however, HATES it!. She sees the syringe coming and she just starts to cry. So I have to pin her arms down while the hubs squeezes it into her open mouth. She’ll stop crying after she eats it and wash the taste away with some milk. I’ll ask her if she’s mad and she’ll say “Yes.” Hahah we don’t care. So C was trying to tell Zoe how she should watch me eat medicine and that I’m a big baby. So I found out at towards the end of the week that I could take Robitussin while I’m pregnant. You should have seen those two. It was as if they were waiting for my perfomance of a lifetime. The hubs would pour my medicine in the measureing cup and then he would sit across from my Indian style while Zoe sat on his lap and they would just sit there with anticipation. I really do hate syrupy medicine though. Nyquil, Robitussin, whatever, you name it. I’ll hate it.
Me: Ok, give me a countdown. Zoe count to 3.
Zoe: Onetwothree!
Me: No that’s too fast!
Hubs: Hahaha Zoe count with me…One….
Zoe: One….
Hubs: Two…
Zoe: Two…
Hubs: Three…
Zoe: Three!
Me: (drinking it and then scrunching up my face as if I bit into a lemon)
Hubs: Hahaha. Zoe look at mommy’s face.
Zoe: Hahaha you big baby mommy!
Hubs: Mommy is a big baby!
They did this two nights in a row. Where they would sit there and point their fat fingers and just make fun of me for like 2 minutes after I would eat my medicine. Jerks.
I think we’re going to the Yo Gabba Gabba Live show this friday! I’m just waiting for everything to be confirmed. I think I’m just as excited as Zoe. I know, I’m sad!
Lately her favorite show has been Umi Zumi on Nick Jr. I think she likes it cause Milly can change her dress pattern into whatever she wants. Zoe’s gotten really girly. Like for 3 weeks straight she only wanted to wear a dress or skirt to school.
If I happen to have on a dress or skirt the same time as her she’ll hold the bottom of her skirt up and say “dress cheers” and we have to tap skirts. She’s really into princesses. I think I’m actually going to write a whole entry on just her princess phase lately. It’s actually amusing. I need to get some of this stuff on video. This morning on our way to school her favorite line was “…for a little while.” This was the conversation she was having with me in her car seat while I drove…
Zoe: Mom! Mom!
Me: Yes?
Zoe: After school I want to watch Yo Gabba Gabba for a little while.
Me: Ok.
Zoe: And then I just want to sit for a little while and then watch Umi Zumi for a little while.
Me: Ok
Zoe: And then for a little while I want to sit here in the car. For a little while.
Me: Ok.
After her ‘for-a-while’ conversation she also started to sing a song that sounded new but I couldn’t hear it clearly and she said “Mom! I singing a song!” So I told her to sing it again so I could hear it.
Zoe: Sunday, Monday. Tuesday, Wednesday. Thursday, Friiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiday, Saturday.
SHE KNOWS HER DAYS OF THE WEEK! She was singing it to the tune of the first line of ‘Clementine’. I was so surprised. I love her going to school!
:: 08.07.10 :: Visiting Halmeh
A few weekends ago we drove down to Philly to stay with my mom for the weekend. She was diagnosed with osteoperosis earlier in the summer and had a little fall so since my sister was going away for the weekend to visit her in laws we decided to come down and hang out with my mama. It was nice though. I don’t get to see her enough. Zoe was a little disappointed that cousins Owen and Kayla weren’t around though. We hit up a playground near my mother’s house. I remember they were building this when I was in highschool. This playground was built in 6 days with 3400 volunteers and so many donors. This has got to be hands down the best playground I have ever been to. It was like the mother of all playgrounds. I’ve driven by it but I’ve just never actually gotten to check it out till now. Well now that I have a child of my own. I think we’re gonna have to come here everytime we go down to visit the relatives now. I wished that I wasn’t prego so that I could’ve run around with Zoe more. There’s even a lot of picnic tables by the entrance of the playground. I would sooooo throw a birthday party here if I lived down there.
