  • Fetch!

    Zoe’s words: m and m, balloon, toes

Life is anything but boring when you add a toddler to the equation.

Since the last time I told you that Zoe had announced that she went number two, she’s announced it 5 more times. Two just from yesterday alone. I’ve been rewarding her with jelly beans or m+m’s. Sometimes she’ll cry wolf. I don’t know if it’s a sneaky way to get candy or because she just got confused. I always try to show her poopy when she does go so she knows what her masterpiece looks like. Hahaha I know gross.

Along with this whole poopy anouncing bug that she’s got going on it’s kind of affecting me shall we say? So I go to the bathroom with the door open during the day so I can see where she is or if she needs me she can come right up to me. Now she just stands in front of me while I’m handling my biz and goes “Umma poopy” and she points between my legs. I say “No, mommy’s just peeing right now, see? All done(I’m really lying so she’ll leave but it doesn’t work. Hey, I’m human. We all gotta go dos).” Then she goes to my side and points to my pale ass and goes “Umma’s butt”  and THEN she proceeds to poke my ass. CAN I HAVE SOME PRIVACY HELLO?! So then I say “Zoe go get your ball!” and she runs off to the living room to get her red ball. She brings it back over to me and I chuck it out the door and yell “FETCH!”

Hey it works so shut it! It gives me like 15 seconds of privacy before I have to chuck it again just to get another 15.

  • Hi. My Name Is Susan.

Zoe’s words: Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Rabbit, Plex, Muno, Tootie, Foofa, Brobee, Darby, hat, cut it, star, cat, rabbit, giraffe, Manny

The other day she was eating rice and gim(seaweed) for dinner and she waves to her bowl of rice and goes “Hi bahp!” and then she leaned foward and kissed the rice. She also scolds us now. If I do something to bother her or make her do something she doesn’t want to do she goes “Umma, NO, NO!” Sometimes she wags her finger to show she means it. Gurl, PUHLEESE! That don’t work on mommy!

    Hi. My name is Susan.
I feel like I’ve been away so long that I have this need to reintroduce myself. Just got done with my older sister’s surprise baby shower. It was really nice and personal. We got a lot of help and Miss Prego didn’t have a clue. Success is ours!

So the hubs sends me an email last week which to my memory was something along the lines of ‘Do you want you birthday/Christmas gift now? There’s a really good deal going on.’ To which I replied something along the lines of ‘Everday when I see your face that’s present enough hun (vomit in my  mouth). To which he quickly replied ‘Bitch you just f*cked yourself.’ Aren’t we just like perfect for each other? Hahaha…. So I got my gift this week…

    IMG_5364
Isn’t it beautiful? I got an erection from my invisible penis when I saw it. Zoe could care less. She cared more about the packaging…

Anyhoots, this wonderful piece of machinery has turned me into a crazy woman. I mean not that I wasn’t crazy before it’s like a little bit more ocdish than I was before. It’s pushed me to re-organize and re-arrange our office space. I’m still organizing.

I started monday mind you. Please this weird mood has also made me deep clean our master bathroom last night at 11:30. I got done at 1:30. I know. Call me crazy I have no idea wassup? I kinda like it though. I feel very productive. I’m almost done her rocker too! She was trying to ride the seatless horse and kept smiling up at me makin me feel guilty so I was like “OK OK I GET IT! STOP BEING CUTE! I’ll finish it already!” More photos to come…

:: 10.20.09 :: This was the first one I did this year. I had to throw it out cause it was rotting already. Zoe picked out the pattern. She is all about Fifi now. I’m gonna do a few more tomorrow. Sandy, The Great Pumpkin-off of 2009 is on biotch!

  • Zoe’s First Time Out

:: 10.23.09 :: First Time Out (I was pissed cause I JUST washed these)
The first minute she thought it was a joke. She sat in her chair and bobbed her head to the music on the tv. I shut the tv off and she started to laugh-cry. She even got up at one point and I yelled at her to sit back down and decided to extend the time out to another minute. She cried the entire time she climbed back on her chair . We’ll try it again another time.

  • Funny Girl

Zoe’s really funny lately. I think since she’s been born this is my favorite stage. She does and says funny things and makes us crack up all the time. Last night C and I were lying in bed watching tv while Zoe lay in between us (facing us) drinking her milk. I said to the hubs “Hun let’s hold hands.” So we’re holding hands by Zoe’s feet with our elbows propped on the bed. Zoe decides to try and wedge her feet between our hands to separate us. She’s very determined and is working at this with both of her feet while drinking her milk. Finally she kicks our hands apart and hooks my hand with her feet towards her. She then grabs my hand and holds it. The point of this story is that no one is allowed to hold mommy’s hand except for Zoe and only Zoe.

Sometimes our daily conversations sound like this:
    Zoe: AHduppa,duppa,duppa,duppa,duppa,duppa.
Me: No way! And then what did she say?
    Zoe: AHduppa, duppa, duppa.
Me: So then what did you do?
    Zoe: Umma’s chair.
Me: What? Are you changing the subject?
    Zoe: Umma’s shoes.
Me: Wait. Did you just change the subject 2 times?
    Zoe: Ahduppa, duppa, duppa.
Me:Wait, are you going back to the first story?

She’s been helping me too. After we’ve gone shopping I’ll tie up all the plastic bags and she’ll put them one by one in the drawer for me. I use our dish washer as a drying rack so after I’m done doing the dishes I’ll say “Zoe can you close it?” and she’ll push the rack in if it’s sticking out and close the door. She also loves putting her dirty clothes in the laundry basket and expects an ovation after it. Like as in she slowly turns around to give you enough time to start clapping. She now throws trash away in the waste basket. Oh you’ll like this one, her father has finally trained her to take his socks off after he comes home from work. Poor thing. She just don’t know.

We’ve taught her how to play hide and go seek. It’s really cute. She’ll sit at the bottom of the stairs and cover her eyes with her hands while I count to 10. Then we’ll run off to find her dad. Sometimes when I’m hiding with her I can hear her father walking around going “Zoe where are you?!” and she’ll start giggling and then she’ll yell out “THERE YOU ARE!”  I’m not hiding with her anymore. She gives us away all the time. Sometimes she makes both of us hide with her in the same spot. The problem with this is that there’s no one to seek us.

We got this at Cirque du Soleil and she still loves it. The red one is her designated nose but she’ll give you the orange one to wear. In the photos where her nose is in the air (ex: the fourth photo), she’s doing that because because she thinks it’ll keep it from falling off her nose.

  • Zoe’s Hello Kitty Costume

Zoe’s words since last thursday: shirt, pants, ming ming, ice cream, kai lan, tigger, muno, foofa, tootie, plex, brobee, sticker, balloon, toes, bag, eeyore, rabbit, help, cat, dog

Wow, I think this is the longest I’ve been mia on xanga.

I’ve been busy making Zoe’s costume. I am however done. It took me a week and it’s not perfect but I’m finito! I also sewed on a tail but I didn’t take a photo of it. She’s already worn it twice so at least she’s getting a lot of wear out of it. I’ll take more photos on Halloween but for now this is it.

  • Update On Me & My Monkey

Zoe’s words from yesterday: ears, nose, mous (mouth), heah (head), eyes, feet, butt, Tigger, bear
Zoe’s words from today: Daisy, Goofy, Mickey (no more Gokey), push, dog
    I swear she’s like a sponge.

Zoe now knows about 100 words and 15 phrases. This morning she dropped her Hello Kitty sticker on the floor and says “Kitty aya (Kitty’s hurt)! Oh my gosh!”

Sorry I’ve been MIA. I’ve been working on Zoe’s Halloween costume for the past 3 days. This is definitely a labor of love. I don’t think I’m gonna do this again next year. Haha…this year I just wanted to try it. Who knows. I say this now but you never know what I’ll be in the mood for come around next year around this time. I might be an overachiever again. When ever I get in this mood to do something crafty I call them suicide missions cause that’s what it feels like to me. I think it all started with planning my wedding. I think that’s when my craziness kicked in and the hubs realized it was too late to back out now cause he was scared of me. Yup. That’s what I think about that.

Today Zoe had her 18 month appt. We made it as far as the hallway and she knew and didn’t want to go in. I have a feeling next time she’ll know when we hit the elevator. She started flipping out when she saw the doctor. *le sigh sigh sigh* She was holding onto to Mr Pink with one hand and with the other she was holding onto a Mickey Mouse book that she brought in from the waiting room.  I had to take her shirt off and she knew I had to so she was fighting to hold on to the book so I couldn’t pull her sleeve off. Once I got one sleeve off I was working on the other one and she was fighting to put her arm back in it. Oh *LE SIGH*.  The doctor and I were yelling at each other so we could hear each other talk since she was screaming and crying so loud. Get this, he didn’t even touch her yet! She was on my lap still. She grew about an inch and a half (65th percentile), her head is still in the 75th percentile, and her weight is still in the 5th percentile. He thinks it’s just genes when it comes to the weight so he told me to stop worrying about it. Then he found out that I was still giving her a bottle at night and in the morning so he scolded me. FINE FINE! We’ll try. Are you guys giving your kids a bottle still? She only got a flu shot but I have to call back and find out when they have the swine flu shot in. Are you guys gonna give that to your kids?

:: My Recent Suicide Missions ::
(For those of you who asked what Zoe was going as this year, why did you even ask? I know you know)
I’m more than half way done. I still have to hem the bottom, sew a tail, make a headband with the ears, and a bow, and dye one of her onesies.
    IMG_5127

I had to make 2 of these for a shared shower at church this past sunday. One for a girl and one for a boy. I’ve never made a diaper cake before so getting started on this was a pain but they turned out super cute!
    IMG_4989

Ok back to finishing the costume! The shit that you do for your kids I tell you.

  • Growing Up

Zoe’s words of the day: milk / Telly / papuh (paper) / bee / Mahwohwoh (Mario) / Oh mah gosh

Yesterday was the first time I put Zoe down for her nap and she started to cry because she wanted Mr Pink. I’m shocked because there was never ever a need for them. They (as in Blue and Pink) were always just around for hugs and to be abused (Ex: She’ll give me Mr Pink while she holds Mr Blue and I lay Mr Pink on his front and I pat him gently and say “jaja, jaja, jaja” which means go to sleep. She lays Mr Blue down on his front and starts wacking the crap out of his back yelling “JAJA, JAJA, JAJA!”).  Never because there was a real need till yesterday.

She’s also been a little sensitive lately to yelling. Like if her father is downstairs and I’m upstairs with Zoe, I’ll yell out something to him and he’ll yell his answer back and she’ll start bawling her eyes out and come running to me like she’s scared and we always try to calm her down.

Today after dinner I was doing the dishes and she came over to me and said “Umma poopy, Umma poopy”. “Zoe, did you poopy?” “Yesh.” I took her upstairs and sure enough she did. GOOD ZOE!!!!

    Every day we color.
Every day she makes me play Mario Party.
Almost every day she learns a new word.
Every day she makes me laugh.
    Every day she surprises me.
Every day I love her more than the day before.

  • Special Word of The Day

(Oh you’re gonna love this one)
Zoe’s word of the day: I’ve been trying to teach her who the Count is on Sesame Street for a month now since she knows almost all the characters. Today I was flipping through a Cookie magazine while she sat next to me and on one of the pages she saw a picture of The Count. She points to him and goes “cock”.  I said “No Zoe, say Count.” She goes “cock”.  Fine. Cock it is.

    Whadda ya gonna do?
Oh Zoe…I asked God that you be funny when you were born and he just took the funny to another level.

Oh and she can now blow her nose. Yay! Right in time for flu season.

I also started Zoe’s Halloween costume. I have no idea how to use the sewing machine but I just threaded my first bobbin and the machine and I gotta tell ya, I’m pretty friggin proud.
